Essay
Learning new driving techniques and skills are imperative to be a good driver for everyone. I have always enjoyed driving. In the beginning, I committed various kinds of mistakes, minor and major, and therefore, I desired to have a better understanding of how to drive and to improve my driving skills, so that I may control a vehicle with ease.
I understood and acknowledged that learning of primary driving techniques were imperative for me to control a vehicle in different/difficult situations. Earlier in this year, I had to drive in a rainy area. I did not get training to drive in such rainy weather. I lost control of my car several times and finally managed to get out of that rainy area. It compelled me to learn and adopt new driving techniques, which were essential to drive a vehicle. A big lesson for me was the right position and control of steering, especially in slippery areas on the roads (Jian).
I enjoyed the music during driving. When I took my first drive, I was confused despite basic knowledge, which was considered sufficient to drive a car. One kilometer drive from my home, in a smoggy weather, was a big challenge for me. My partner, an experienced driver, instructed me to avoid talking. There were several possibilities of accidents due to distractions, but I completed my safe journey (Driving Tests).
When I drove my first Nissan, I immediately got familiar with all of its functions. I knew how to utilize the features of a car. During heavy traffic, rainy seasons, and smoggy conditions, these features of the car could be learned handily. Sometimes, I realized that vehicles have been always vulnerable to accidents; therefore, I used to sit straight, fasten the seatbelt, and be focused, which made me a good driver.
I also got an opportunity to drive in the populated areas. My friend, sitting with me in the car, was surprised to see my driving skills and control over the vehicle. Even in the immense traffic, I depicted an excellent use of brakes and acceleration. I have learned these skills with the passage of time.
It is suggested by experts that 3’o clock and 9’o clock are the best positions to hold a steering. I have tried both angles/methods to obtain a complete control over a vehicle. It provided a great balance when turning the car to the right or to the left (Car And Bike Team).
I always maintained a safe distance from other vehicles. In the training process, the trainers taught me some driving ethics and rules. When I drove a car, I become a responsible person in the society. My trainer taught me if drivers wanted to turn or overtake, they must have to turn on the indicators and keep an eye on the mirror. So, now, I used indicators whenever I wanted to overtake another vehicle or to take a turn. I always kept myself calm on driving seat, which helped me in smooth driving.
I learned how to drag on slippery areas in the car shows. Professionally, I took part in my car racing competitions. I have realized that a car could be out of control if a driver avoids primary lessons such as the balance between acceleration and brake (Driving-tests.org).
In the end, it is concluded that I have improved my driving skills through lessons, learned from my driving experience, trainers, and professionals. By learning driving skills and techniques, a driver can not only protect himself, but he also can save lives of other people on the road. I am looking forward to having my new Ford this month, and I am quite excited to employ my experience and apply new learned driving techniques on my car.
