Every Citizen of The United States Should Be Provided a Free College Education, Provided That Each Recipient Provides National Service on a Year for a Year Basis
Education is a need of every citizen of the United States of America. However, the government wants to increase the return by streamlining efforts of students or professionals in different state departments. Education in the United States of America is mandatory to serve as a federal agent in different departments. However, it seems tough for all people to get an expensive education and find job opportunities. Getting a fee college fee is a great opportunity for young people to contribute to the economy and the success of the company in an effective manner. “Providing the college education to citizens is a pre-employment tactic by the government that can help to fulfill workplace gaps and take benefit of the cheaper or low-cost labor.”
The free college education is the big term in the statement. Every citizen who is eligible to get the college level education can apply to utilize this opportunity. However, he has to serve in the national service on year from a year basis. The national service is another key term in this statement. The citizen has to provide a return by working in the national department. Educating people in the country is necessary. It seems to create opportunities and help people utilize their skills in national services. This initiative can create a win-win situation (Hess).
Providing free college education is a good initiative by the government. Educating people in the country can strengthen the economy. People will be learning and adopting different skills in colleges and contributing to different public organizations. People who are poor can take advantage of this opportunity. It seems a great chance for the government to lift poor people class and makes the ability to become a prominent contributor. Working and studying at the same time is a key trend in American society, and this policy is quite pertinent.
Providing free college education is also destructive for the government and employees. For Instance, the government may face an immense range of applications of people or citizens to get enrolled in colleges. On the other hand, colleges and state departments may have a limited number of seats. Thus, it can be a huge clash between citizens and the government. Also, it is a fact that the public or national organizations may not have enough space to keep hiring these people to fulfill the state’s requirements. It seems a huge liability on young people of the country, which is to be imposed by the government (Powell).
In the end, it is to conclude that the government is looking to provide opportunities for students and young people by providing the free college education. However, it is imperative for the government to also work on different alternatives. States or public educational institutions and departments may not have enough space. First, the government must streamline platforms to study and work and then initiate or regulate the policy. The policy looks good. However, by depicting some thoughtful considerations, the success can be gained. Students have to provide equal return against free education, and it must be ensured by the government.
