McDonald’s operates globally. Visit the company’s websites and also search for other resources and perform a SWOT analysis on the company’s internal factors (so, just the strengths and weaknesses for now). Important:
Strengths
Based on the internal business factors, McDonald Company contains some prominent strengths and weakness, and the management of the company has to make some appropriate strategies accordingly. It depends on the company that how it utilizes its strengths and eliminate weaknesses to sustain the competitive advantage in the competitive fast food market.
The biggest strength of the company is the expansion process. It has 36,899 restaurants in 126 countries. However, along with this, the company has successfully retained its uniqueness and quality in all these restaurants, which makes it the top fastest giant. Managing restaurants through best hiring practices is also a big strength. With the passage of the time, through efficient operation in several countries, the company has a good brand image, and it is going to be sustained in both developed and developing courtiers. Due to standardized processes of production, quality, and servicing, the company has made a reputation, which creates a good impact on both revenues and profitability (Corporate.mcdonalds.com, 2018).
Weakness
Despite having the successful operations in many countries, the company usually struggles to integrate with the market trends or variations. For Instance, the standard process is depicting the lack of flexibility, which is a big resistance to the change. In the internal operation, change does not seem swift, which makes it little behind as compared to other companies. Also, it has been revealed that the company is generating a major part of the revenue from western countries, and due to the economic decline, these revenue streams are always vulnerable (Steinberger, 2009).
The company should identify all strengths and weaknesses to come up strongly in the market. The best thing for the company is to maintain its strengths and reduce the visibility of weakness in an effective and lucrative manner.
