The global retail business is in the limelight due to some strategic changes by global retailers. This article illustrates the strategic move of the biggest retailer “Wal-Mart,” as it has depicted its strategic alliance with the e-coerce player Rakuten. The company has come up with some objectives in this region. For Instance, there is a great change for Wal-Mart Company to emerge in the global online retail industry. Also, this strategic move can help the company to contain the long-term business sustainability as well. This article depicts the digital standing of Wal-Mart, which has been increased through this strategic partnership (Keyes).

Being a student of the business management, I was looking to read an article, which demonstrates the strategic partnership of two big companies (Keyes). Based on this particular fact, Wal-Mart Company is looking to align with the biggest Japanese retailer to streamline its grocery delivery offering. I agree with the author “Daniel Keyes that the digital standing and technology advancement can strengthen the position of the company in the global retail market. The global business growth of this company is quite visible, and it is to be sustained for a long run (Keyes).
LEARNING ASPECT
The big learning aspect of this article is the change or evolvement. The Wal-Mart company has evolved. Through navigating several business issues and challenges, some strategy changes can be made by business professionals to make the difference in the competitive global market. Obviously, the management of the company has made the rational decision, and it is the learning aspect.
