Introduction

There are several types of organizational structures, and the management of the company has to analyze its business nature to shape it accordingly. The role of the manager in the company in designing the organizational structure is crucial. Identifying the characteristic of different structures is necessary to make some pertinent decisions.

Three types of organizational structures are functional structure, divisional structure, and matrix structures. In the functional structure, the main character is the functionality of each department separately. Every department, such as sales, marketing, human resource, production, and information technology intends to work with a separated purpose.

In each department, the management of the company depends on the talent, skills, and flow of knowledge to gain and sustain the success for a long run. In the divisional structure, the company is divided into different geographical regions to cover different business segments. Also, in many multinational companies, matrix structure has been observed. It seems a combination of both functional and divisional structure to operate at the large scale.

It is an organizational structure of Coca-Cola Company, which depicts different functions, to be conducted by the human capital of the company. It is a functional organizational structure, which depicts operations’ separately.

There are three types of controls, which are to be considered by the management of the company. These controls are feedforward control, concurrent control, and feedback control. All these controls are integrated with input, process, and output respectively. The effective management of Coca-Cola Company is using feedforward and feedback control to control the whole operation. The effectiveness of operational process has been enabled by the management of the Coca-Cola company due to the perfect execution these controls. For Instance, the Coca-Cola company intends to identify and prevent several deviations, which are to occur when standardizing the process. It enables the quality and improvements in production and all other departments, working on the functional structures.  The management of the company is using the feedforward control, which is based on people, financial and material resources to derive some expected outputs. On the other hand, feedback control depicts a comprehensive review of information to analyze the performance and measures. The Coca-Cola Company is using this control a management system to enhance the visibility of intense monitoring to reach the expected quality levels. Due to these management controls, the operational efficiency has been ensured in an effective and lucrative manner (Trefis Team, 2016).

The effectiveness of the control management system in the company is in the limelight due to some remarkable results. Deriving insights from the assigned reading, the company management has enabled the decentralization process. The decisions are made at the organizational law level, and it justified the feedforward and feedback controls in the company. The effectiveness of the company can be depicted when the low-level management sets different measures regarding the quality of beverages. The immediate improvements at the low level of the management are a depiction of effectiveness, which makes the company successful in the competitive business era. The sales and marketing teams are working together to meet different cost objectives. In the decentralization process, the management enables the control in the operational process through an effective work delegation. Monitoring and the evaluating process are integrated with the feedback forwarding control, and it is creating the value for the company. The basic principle is assigning the formal tasks and formal reporting relationship, which enables the effective implementation of the control management system (The Coca-Cola Company, 2016).

In Coca-Cola Company, the management has enabled an integrated system, which depicted the connection regarding organizational structure, management systems, and decision-making process. For Instance, in this large and dynamic organization, the structure is quite flexible, which creates some space for the management stakeholders to adopt or execute the control, system.  In the production and marketing, the company has to set some control measures regarding efficiency, cost, quality, and flow.

In this company, the management has structured the process through effective allocation of tasks by using the right resources. The Coca-Cola Company initiated the work specialization, which is also a prominent principle to produce expected or pertinent outputs. The tasks are subdivided into separated jobs. As shown in the organizational structure of the company, marketing, accounting, shipping, sales and production departments or divisions are separated along with several tasks, and of course, these tasks or roles are standardized (Daft, 2016).

Regarding the decision-making process, this top beverage giant intends to link with the latest trends in the beverage industry. The strategic team of the company makes decisions in different departments, which can improve the process and enable the long-term business sustainability. Coca-Cola is in the limelight due to the intelligence structuring, and all decisions revolve around this prominent principle. The structure of the company allows this firm to make rational decisions for management control, and interestingly, it indicates the integrations of all processes (Feloni, 2015).

Conclusion

In the end, it is to conclude that the organizational structure shapes the direction of the company to have complete control over the process. The role of the management ion Coca-Cola Company is quite visible, as it has integrated into the decision making and management control process with the structure of the company. The most important thing is to make the structure flexible to create some space, which is good to make and execute different strategies. Feedforward control, concurrent control, and feedback control are prominent control systems, and it depends on the management that how it chooses this system, depending on the different structure and work nature.
