Employee motivation is a level of commitment and determination of an organization’s employee at the workplace. The company makes different employee motivation strategies to enhance the visibility of employee’s assertiveness to meet organizational goals and objectives. The study depicts several strategies or traits of motivation along with importance and benefits for both employees and organizations.  

Motivating Employees within Company

Employee Empowerment

The most appropriate strategy is employee empowerment. In an organization, employees may have different ideas to improve work performance and efficiency. The management can work with them and derive different suggestions to create pertinent work culture and environment. It seems better management-employee relations, which can motivate employees and improve their performance (Jacoby, 2017).

Career Advancement

Also, opportunities for advancement are in the limelight due to the direct impact on employee’s behavior. For Instance, the firm may train and develop employees to meet personal and organizational goals. If an employee observes an adequate career development in the company, he seems motivated at work.  The modern organization offers training and development opportunities for employees to develop different skills. It facilitates climbing the career ladder.

Incentives

Offering attractive incentives is one of the critical employee motivation strategies. Attractive incentives are an output of all employee efforts of the company. A firm usually designs several incentives to motivate and retain employees. Instead, of developing expensive incentives, movie tickets, an extra holiday, and many other low-cost appreciations are to be offered to employees to enhance motivation.

Focusing Individual

Modern organizations intend to motivate individuals instead of teams. Appreciating the individual’s efforts and contribution is a better approach to create a positive perception. For Instance, by streamlining the individual performance, the firm can enhance the assertiveness top work in different teams or groups. Integrating with the intrinsic values of an individual in the company is a valid motivation strategy, which enables employee retention and work sustainability (Pozin, 2015).

Importance of Motivation

Employee motivation is essential to retain the best employees in the company and create a long-term relationship with them. It has been observed that the company wants employee loyalty and satisfaction in the workplace to increase efficiency and productivity. Motivated employees in the company depict their satisfaction regarding the work and outcomes. It decreases the chances of employee turnover in the firm, and overall, it reduces the employee and works cost. Employee motivation is crucial because it restrains people from working in a risky environment. By enhancing employee motivation, the company can achieve high-level outcomes. The performance of the company becomes predictable if employees are well managed and motivated by the company management. The role of human resource management is crucial in this regard. For Instance, the HR management can ass4ess employee needs at the bottom-line and make effective strategies to increase motivation (Frey & Osterloh, 2013).

Benefits for Company and Employees

Employee satisfaction, productivity, learning, dynamism, and discipline are several benefits for employees. On the other hand, the firm can increase the overall organizational performance, retain the best talent, build the internal force, and increase the profitability in the competitive landscape (Chand, 2018).

In the end, being a prominent stakeholder of an organization, I can navigate several alternatives. Depending on the work and employee needs, different motivation strategies can be shaped. The most important thing is to derive the expected output. The management has to obtain both individual and organizational outcomes by motivating employees.  People at all organizational levels are like an asset to the company. Creating value for people through motivation can make them great contributes to organizational success.
