Introduction
Different organizations are using different approaches to make the work efficient and productive in an effective and lucrative manner. In this modern and dynamic business era, the importance of team building activities and individual work is in the limelight. Based on the nature of work and intention of the management, both processes can be used by the company. There are some pros regarding team building and individual, and the illustration is as under
Pros of Team Building
The big advantage that the company can gain through the team building is the understanding. People, working in different departments, can know each other and work under the same agenda. They understand work ideas and communicate with each other to understand different insights regarding the work, society, culture, and outputs (Forbes Coaches Council, 2016).
Also, it has been revealed that the company can reduce the stress level among people through effective team building. It helps to share the workload and responsibility, which is good to keep people or employee relaxed.
People can identify the strengths and weakness of each other and intends to make some effective strategies for improvements collaboratively. Overall, it creates an impact on the productivity of the company. Team building improves the productivity of the company, which also enables the long-term business sustainability (Forbes Coaches Council, 2016).
The team building is helpful for the company to develop some team roles. According to skills and abilities, roles and tasks are to be assigned to different employees. It keeps the work pertinent and efficient in the best interest of the company.
Pros of Individual
Working individually with the company is goods when it comes to the creative or artistic work an individual work is a big factor regarding the creative and innovative work, and it seems the big advantage of it.
When working individually, an individual can be the boss, and it carries the motivation for him. Working individually can make an individual make extremely efficient (Stibel, 2011).
Also, another advantage of working individually is to take full credit of what is being been done by the individual in the company. In the company, the management can identify employees quickly, which are efficient and prominent through their contribution.
The big advantage of individual work is to work independently. No one in the company has to create the influence of the different idea, derived by the individual. An individual can work without any pressure of other (Stibel, 2011).
When working individually, it has been revealed that the management does not have to distribute the work among other. For instance, it saves the time in identifying employees and assign tasks.
When is best to use both?
Relative to the team building, the best time to work is when an organization is conducting a project process. In a big project, the company has to gather some employees, according to requires skills to complete the work on time. In the large project, there can be a time limitation, and team building is a right approach to gain the success and justify the purpose. Also, when an organization contains the workload, it can build teams to share work or responsibilities (Clark, 2014).
On the other hand, the individual work can be conducted when there is a need for artistic work. The creativity and innovation are triggered by the individual work. For Instance, a programmer, when coding, can work efficiently as compared to working in the tea. He may contain swift work to gain the success (Stibel, 2011).
Conclusion
In the end, it is to conclude that team building and individual work are necessary for organizations. The management has to analyze the nature of the business and workplace to make decisions. Keeping all advantages in mind is essential to make right decisions for the workplace.
