To what extent do you think that the organization would be amenable to dialogic OD? Why or Why not
Due to the evolution of dialogic organization development in different industries, the companies are intending to make changes in the operations or systems. Deriving the insights from Wal-Mart Company, a prominent retail chain of United States of America, the company leaders are reshaping the vision and intentions through creating the new conversations. The extent is to create a workplace, which is undone in the retail industry, as this is a specific dimension of change or development, which is quite amenable in this company. The dialogic organization development in this retail giant indicates the intentions towards increasing employees’ concerns (Berk, 2017).
Of course, the company is depicting an open discussion policy for the leaders, employees, and all key stakeholders to initiate new conversations regarding development at the workplace, which is a dimension of the organization development. Instead of making the decision separately, the company has to manage the adaptive challenges in the organizations, as far as employee development is concerned. In Wal-Mart, the conversation diversity has been increased with the passage of time trigger with the innovations and creativity in the development process (Dudovskiy, 2016)
It is a remarkable dialogic organizational development, which is linked with both employee and organization sustainability for a long run (Hartung, 2012). Due to the change in the employee, workplace, market, and operational trends, this employee development extent is quite amenable as Wal-Mart is motivating its people to propose ideas in the development process as a key part of the company and starts with the small experiments, i.e., flexible scheduling, training, motivations and the sustainability. Exceptionally, complying the dialogic organization development is leading towards the better execution of strategies, and the main emphasis of this organization is quite visible. The company wants people in the company to make the stories in a meaningful manner, and Dialogic OD is facilitating accordingly (Moss, 2014).
