Starbucks is a prominent coffee chain of the United States of America. The company has sustained its business due to some sustainable business practices. The management of the company has justified the corporate social responsibility to create a good impact on both, communities and the environment.
In this modern and competitive coffee industry, this organization intends to transform its business operations. Green stores, green cups, green climate, and green energy are some initiatives, taken by this company. Regarding green cups, the design of cups to serve coffee is a suitable initiative to shrink the environmental impact. Obviously, these cups can help the company reduce the waste and recycle accordingly. Interestingly, to create the best impact on the environment, customers have to show assertiveness and cooperate with the company in this waste reduction action plan (Starbucks.com, 2018).
Furthermore, the management has used and considered the renewable energy resources in the green building program, for instance, in the coffee retail operations; the company has depicted the leadership in energy and environmental design. The scalable green building program demonstrates equipment and tools, which are not harmful to the environment (Wolff, 2017).
Besides, relative to the impact on lives, the Starbucks Company has started operations, which strengthen the communities. For Instance, the management believes in the success of local farmers and suppliers to have original raw material. This consideration of the company is creating the good impact on living standards. On the other hand, the customers, prominent stakeholders of the company, are experiencing the high quality and healthy ingredients (Wolff, 2017).
Thus, in every sustainable business initiative, the company is creating the positive impact on the lives and atmosphere. The change in the sustainable business practices can also be observed to assimilate with the new corporate social responsibility trends.
