INTRODUCTION
The global issues such as economic conditions, Natural disaster, poverty, terrorism, pollution, International labor & migration rules and many others are creating the barriers for both societies and the organization. For Instance, the industries are growing and making the profit through massive production and expansions. Pollution, caused by industries, is a big issue, but it seems tough to stop. Both countries and companies prefer the growth or expansion to sustain the good economic conditions. On the other hand, the corporate social responsibility looks rare. Thus, the ethical business comes into the life, which is ultimately a mutual responsibility for all industries.
ETHICAL BUSINESSES OPERATIONS
In every business, the management aims the ethical considerations to create a good impact on both, the societies and environment. The responsibility increases when an organization conducts different business operations in other countries. Obviously, there is always a risk of the clash between these companies and host countries due to a difference in standards, laws, and intentions. Therefore, the inclusion of the international code of ethics is the best practice, which can enhance the visibility of ethical business operations.
POVERTY AND CHILD LABOR
In the global environment, the main issues are labor, practices of business, human rights, product safety, environmental practices and advertisement practices. Interestingly, the ethics are quite visible in all these practices, based on the operations, intentions, and culture of the company. The major issues, especially in the developing countries are poverty and child labor. The organizations use to invest in the developing countries to have low labor cost, and these are poor children. To gain the profitability, the companies, instead of promoting education, take work from these poor children. It is against the social ethics and international labor law. Accordingly, the organizations must have to depict the social responsibility, even in case of the absence of the pertinent law in these countries. It has been observed that there are many organizations, from retail to manufacturing, which are conducting the human rights violations, and the organizations such as the inter-American Courts of International Rights and European Court of International Rights are dealing with the related cases from all over the world. It is a fact that these organizations have set the standard for international firms for enabling the ethical business. The purpose is restraining from Torture, cruel treatment, genocide, crimes against humanity. In addition to these crimes, when conducting the international business operations, the management usually expresses the discrimination regarding the labor and society. Thus, the most important thing is to follow the both, local and international regulations and the set standard. It is all about integrations with the international law of human rights, and we can observe both, large and small organizations are up to it (Jennings).
BRIBERY & CORRUPTIONS
Now, coming to the management’s intention, the corruption has emerged as a major issue in business. Through using power and resources, the management personnel or everyone who has some power commit frauds in the operations. Bribery, or corruptions are crimes, which someone conducts for having the benefits, not intended by the company. It seems unethical, as it destroys the business, and it happens at the government level, the rights of people can be violated. To overcome this global issue, and several organizations are working in the different countries, and transparency international is in the limelight.
DEVELOPING PEOPLE, IMPAIRING ENVIRONMENT
Another important ethical consideration by the companies is adopting the modern technology to create the best impact on the environment. The global warming is hitting the environment very hard, and the operations seem controversial. Furthermore, in the different developing countries, the intention is to develop the poor through maximizing the production and creating the immense job opportunities. They are improving the living standards of people, and on the other hand, impairing the environment (Jennings).
ETHICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
The working conditions in the company are crucial. It is important for the companies to develop a safer working environment to keep the employees safe and secure. It is good to be profitable, but the investment in the plant safety is vital. If a firm contains the traditional working environment, it may be highly vulnerable to accidents and other major risks. In the modern businesses, this is ethical to create an environment, which contains immense safety measures. The biggest ethical aspect is creating a safe plant when dealing with unskilled labor. The safety precautions are necessary for the organization, which ensures the employee safety and retention for a long run (Jennings).
ETHICS IN PRODUCTION
Moreover, when developing the products, especially health products for the customers, the ethics can be triggered by quality, impacts, and benefit, for instance, if a product is profitable but harming some customers, it must be recalled. Deriving the insights from the major global issues, the energy, water, air pollution, biodiversity, and climate change is due to the unethical operations. Initiatives to recycle the waste and adopting the new o standard are important to reduce these issues.
E-COMMERCE BUSINESS
In this modern world, the trends of business have been changed, as organizations have converted into the e-commerce business. Unfortunately, according to the observations, the companies illegally use the customer data for other purposes with the customer’s permissions. The customer data is not secure even having the advance information technological tools.
CONCLUSION
In the end, this is to conclude that the ethics in the business can lead towards the sustainability and goodwill of the society. In this reflection report, different business sectors have been discussed along with the ethical violations and ethical measures. The global firm should promote the culture of positivism instead of focusing on the expansion and profitability, as it can create a positive impact on society and the environment.
