WHAT IS YOUR ASSESSMENT OF THE SIMMONS PROJECT? WHAT CRITERIA DO YOU USE IN EVALUATING IT?
The Simmons project is in the limelight due to different initiatives, which are to be taken by both companies. Simmons wants to collaborate with the IDEO. IDEO had already an effective culture of collaboration. The mattress company wants to find new opportunities in the old competitive market. Phase zero is pertinent to this project to derive insights regarding market and customers and streamline some ideas. The project needs a comprehensive budget plan to make this project feasible (Edmondson and Feldman).
WHAT IS IDEO’S VALUE PROPOSITION? THAT IS, WHAT VALUE DO IDEO’S CUSTOMERS ANTICIPATE RECEIVING FROM IDEO’S SERVICES?
IDEO is integrating with customers to help them find the right opportunities are the right time in the competitive market. Customers, in the competitive market, are anticipating some promising and possible outcomes from the company. IDEO is looking to reduce the business risks in the business expansion process. It seems great value for customers. In business-to-business operations, the client’s anticipation is based on some promising returns, and IDEO is quite committed in this regard. It is a fact that the company continues to be an unconventional designer. In an old industry, there is a need to integrate with some new ideas. The customer’s anticipation is to be justified (Edmondson and Feldman).
HOW DO PHASE ZERO SERVICES COMPARE TO TRADITIONAL (PHASES 1-4) SERVICES? WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS IN PHASE ZERO? HOW WOULD YOU PITCH THE SERVICE TO A PROSPECTIVE CLIENT?
When compared to the traditional services, it has been observed that phase zero involves many phases. These phases are designed initiatives and ideation. The big difference is the observation-based research, which is the major requirement of the process. I would like to pitch the service to the client by streamlining some key business opportunities and solutions, and observation-based research is a key source (Edmondson and Feldman).
TO WHAT EXTENT IS PHASE ZERO A GOOD FIT FOR IDEO? SHOULD THEY CONTINUE TO EMPHASIZE AND EXPAND THIS SERVICE? WHY OR WHY NOT? AND, IF SO, HOW?
Phase zero is a good initiative. It is a good fit to IDEO because it integrates with the organizational culture. Unconventional designers are working in the creative environment, and phase zero is aligned with this culture. Focusing and expanding the service is effective to grab customers and make them assertive to grow in the market (Edmondson and Feldman).
