Overview of Instabeat

Origin of Instabeat

Instabeat is a tech startup headquartered in Beirut and founded in 2011. As a company specializing in creating innovative digital wearables, Instabeat aims to provide swimmers with advanced tools to increase their performance during training. The company provides products enabling swimmers of all levels to test and develop their swimming performance using innovative technology, which combines to create better aquatic experiences. As a pioneer in the field of swim training and monitoring technology, Instabeat is an example of innovation as well as entrepreneurship. Hind Hobeika is the visionary founder of Instabeat. Hobeika’s vision and passion for swimming gear transformed the industrial practices and product usage for customers. Hobeika adopted customer orientation in product designs to create brand value. Features like heart rate monitoring and other health surveillance in gadgets make products more innovative and competitive for customers. As a result, Instabeat has a sustainable customer base, ensuring repeated purchases in the long run.

Founder and Her Story

Hobeika is a Mechanical Engineer by profession, which strengthens his expertise in product visioning and designing from customer orientation. Hobeika went to Cambridge University to acquire the specified credentials. Hobeika’s peer setting and innovative environment made Instabeat’s vision more competitive for the swimming industry (Ghosh et al., 2020). Technological evolution and accessibilities motivated Hobeika to achieve breakthroughs in the swimming industry. Hobeika’s leadership style is distinguished by her tenacity, ingenuity, and dedication to empowering swimmers to accomplish their objectives (Pupic, 2019).

Mission and Vision

The main goal of Instabeat is to improve swimmers by giving them new tools to keep track of themselves and improve their swimming. The company’s envisioned future is of swimmers attaining their potential through data analytics and real-time programming (Instabeat, 2019).

Products and Added Value

In its flagship product, a monitor for track. What stands unique about Instabeat is that this data can be easily displayed in the swimmer’s eye field through LED lights, thereby eliminating swimmers from stopping and checking their devices. This marginal value improves the swimmer’s training quality by providing real-time adjustments and progress inspiration (Ghosh et al., 2020).

Customer Segments

Instabeat mainly appeals to competitive and fitness-driven swimmers who want to improve their timing. The product is aimed at both professional athletes and recreational swimmers who see the need to control their heart rate during pieces of training inspiration (Ghosh et al., 2020).

Competition – Application of Porter’s Five Forces Model

Since the swim technology industry is one of innovation and specialty products, knowledge of competing environments should be necessary. Porter’s Five Forces model thoroughly analyzes the forces influencing this sector and Instabeat’s strategic position in the swimming gear industry.

Bargaining Power of Buyers

The buyer’s bargaining power is moderate in this industry. Many alternative products and technology brands can be used to boost performance for swimmers and athletes interested in improving their abilities. Bogers et al. (2019) noted that this type gives consumers choices and negotiating power. However, features that are specialized or advanced quality products may counteract such effort to an extent.

Furthermore, leading brands influence customers’ purchasing behavior through celebrity endorsements, subliminal messages, and other cognitive strategies. Strategies like celebrity endorsements trigger status dissatisfaction among buyers, making negotiation for emerging brands challenging in the retail market. Hence, Instabeat should recognize the strategies and collaborate with a renowned celebrity to reposition its brand image. Repositioning would empower Instabeat during negotiations with buyers, providing robust support in sales.

Bargaining Power of Suppliers

As for the bargaining power of suppliers, it is stated that all in all, especially those selling important components such as sensors, have limited negotiation influence. This is largely because of the availability of close substitutes and alternative sources for these components, making it possible for companies like Instabeat to retain some control over their supply chain operations. Leading players also form strong value chain networks in emerging economies. Brands would outsource procurement, production, and distribution functions to facilities in emerging markets to enjoy cost advantage. Outsourced partners would maintain quality standards and lead time benchmarks to ensure product availability without incurring unnecessary expenditures. Such brands have substantial supply chain advantages and increase profitability through cost controls. Hence, Instabeat must consider such strategies to enjoy competitive advantages in the swimming gear industry. The brand should capitalize on suppliers’ bargaining power by finding a relevant supply chain partner to empower retail functions in the long run.

Threat of New Entrants

This industry’s threat of new entry is relatively high since R&D costs are very substantial. According to Pupic (2019), the entry of new companies into this field is hampered by high investment in R&D. This factor helps to somewhat guard existing competitors such as Instabeat, Garmin, and FINIS from the risks of new competition since there are limited entrants in the market.

Threat of Substitute Products

An interesting feature in this industry is the threat of substitute products. As much as other performance assessment tools, such as smartphone applications, exist, they fail to provide the real-time data feedback that dedicated swim technology products do. As Pupic (2019) notes, this limitation of substitutes shields companies dealing in swim tech by providing complementary features that are difficult or impossible to achieve with simple general-purpose tools.

Industrial Rivalry

Lastly, the industrial rivalry in the swim technology industry is relatively high but noticeable. Within the market, several significant companies are identified to fight for shares through innovations in their new products, extensive promotional activities, and promotion regarding the brand image. These firms compete in terms of product features and through branding efforts, customer loyalty, and technological progress. To this end, although this rivalry fosters innovation and better product offerings for companies to keep or gain market share, firms must continually invest in R&D and marketing strategies. Besides, leading brands in the industry formulate communities. Community building provides a competitive advantage and customer loyalty during industrial uncertainties. Instabeat requires a similar strategy to mitigate the effects of industrial rivalry. The brand should use social media platforms to connect with relevant target audiences and form a sustainable brand community, promoting swimming as a health and entertainment lifestyle. The brand community would empower Instabeat to enjoy customer loyalty while competing with established brands. Instabeat could achieve a financial advantage and high market share to strengthen its brand image while combatting industrial rivalry through strategic considerations. The figure below illustrates the top players in the Swimwear and Swim gear retail sector, posing direct and indirect threats to Instabeat:

Markets it Operates In

Instabeat mainly functions in the global swim technology market. Although it originated in Lebanon, the company’s swimmer products are distributed globally and serve markets such as North America, Europe, and Asia (Pupic, 2019).

Organizational Structure

The organizational structure of Instabeat is designed to provide an optimal environment for the company to perform its key functions, including product development, sales, and customer services. Notwithstanding, a detailed organizational chart is not available to the public; however, it would likely involve departments such as research and development, marketing, and customer services. This structural framework enables innovation, promotion, distribution, and consumer relations to be synchronized within the company (Palma & Ascione, 2018).

Key Financial Figures

The growth prospect is illustrated in the figure below. The illustration denotes that the swimming gear industry has a constant CAGR of 6.29%, with an anticipated market size of USD 13 billion until FY 2027 (Technavio, 2023).

Figure 3: Industry Growth, CAGR, and Market Size

Source: (Technavio, 2023)

During the most up-to-date financial information available for Instabeat, which refers to its fiscal year ending December 31, 2021, this company generated impressive revenue growth of $5 million with a rate increase of almost 25% from last year. The gross profit margin was 45%, showing the firm’s profitability (Pupic, 2019). In addition, Instabeat closed a Series B funding round of $10 million for its continued growth and development. These financial indicators reveal Instabeat’s evolution on a positive trend, which suggests the company can sustain its strong position while pursuing tactical initiatives to achieve growth and product development (Ghosh et al., 2020).

Future Plans

Instabeat’s plans would probably involve expanding the product range beyond swim monitors to pursue a greater fitness and health monitoring market share. It may involve evolving wearable accessories for multiple water sports and activities. Entering new markets, especially in areas with increasing demand for swim technology, such as Asia and South America, would be a shrewd move owing to the unexplored consumer base (Ansoff, 2019; Bogers et al., 2019).

Instabeat could continue developing technological components such as improved sensor sensitivity, data analytics, and user experience. Instabeat ensured that the product portfolio accomplishes new heights in the swimming industry’s development in the long run. Further, Instabeat could engage in such strategic alignment as partnering with swimming associations and coaches to help the firm establish its image of brand name and create a foundation for integrated solutions among swimmers (Barney & Hesterly, 2019).

PESTLE Analysis of Instabeat

Political Factors

Political factors are unfavorable for Instabeat’s sustainable performance. Recent geopolitical episodes introduced new trade policies between Western and Eastern countries, leading to supply chain disruptions for the global retail sector. Some critical countries underwent sanctions, followed by disruptions in continuous due to international conflicts (Anlesinya & Amponsah-Tawiah, 2020). Hence, Instabeat requires a diversified option to expand its supply chain functions and mitigate evolving political risks in the retail sector.

Economic Factors

The global economy also widely influences consumer spending on sports and fitness equipment. Economic recessions result in lower disposable income, affecting sales of non-essential items such as advanced swimming goggles. On the contrary, a buoyant economy will contribute to better sales, allowing more people to afford health and fitness (Frank et al., 2020). Variability in currencies is another factor affecting the price of imported materials and competitiveness between different markets. The figure below illustrates the IMF’s projection of economic performances worldwide, aiding Instabeat to formulate growth strategies accordingly:

Figure 4: Economic Performances Worldwide

Source: (IMF, 2023)

Socio-Cultural Factors

Social drivers are evolving consumer preferences and lifestyles. Having a growing demand for health and wellness would benefit Instabeat. Swimming as a fitness activity is also rising in popularity, and more attention has been paid to data-driven performance analysis of sports (Vredenburg et al., 2020). Nevertheless, social factors are often unstable and may change among regions, leading to a need for agile marketing.

Technological Factors

Technology plays an important role for Instabeat. New advances in wearable tech, big data, and material science allow new product innovation. Technology innovation is crucial to remain competitive (Hongal & Kinange, 2020). Nevertheless, that implies constant investment in R&D to stay ahead of modern trends and consumer demands. As illustrated in the figure below, brands like Instabeat balance swimming gear between performance and leisure through continuous R&D investments. The existing players in the swimming market offer a diverse product portfolio. Competitors manufacture swimming gear and attire to promote the brand through lifestyle activities. As a result, most competitors have a global reach and industrial solid position to mitigate Instabeat’s sustainable progress in the swimming gear industry. Hence, Instabeat must embrace the industry culture and exploit its R&D activities to manufacture a diverse product range for customers. The practice would empower Instabeat to control competitive tendencies while securing global expansion in emerging economies. Instabeat can potentially revamp its brand position by strategically utilizing the firm’s resources in the long run.

Legal Factors

Legal aspects are compliance with international and local laws on product security, rights of consumers, and data protection. This is because Instabeat’s product comes under personal health data, and strict laws on data protection, such as GDPR in Europe, affect its operations (Bogers et al., 2019). Compliance with all these varied laws is necessary to prevent legal conflicts and maintain customers’ confidence.

Environmental Factors

Businesses are increasingly concerned with environmental factors. Environmental considerations should also be considered by Instabeat, particularly regarding production processes and material source sustainability. Consumers are becoming informed and base their purchase decisions on environmentally friendly products (Frank et al., 2020). In addition to this, compliance with environmental regulations in different environments is critical for smooth business functioning.

SWOT Analysis of Instabeat

Strengths

The best thing about Instabeat is its groundbreaking product, a swimming monitor that shows the data on heart rate and performance measures when they are being obtained. This product has a rare ability to present data in swimmers’ visual field so that the training process is not interrupted by checking devices. This invention increases the enjoyment of swimming and is an effective tool for competitive swimmers and fitness gurus ( Boggers et al., 2019). Other advantages of using Instabeat include its creator, Hind Hobeika. This business has grown with her love for swimming and the need to solve a personal problem. Hobeika’s leadership characteristics are inventiveness, dedication, and insight, which have caused the firm to grow rapidly. Furthermore, Instabeat is global in scope because its products are distributed worldwide (Johnson et al., 2020).

Weaknesses

Being a major player in the swim technology market, Instabeat has some limitations that might negatively impact its further development and longevity. A reduced product portfolio is one of the key challenges for a company. The potential volatility of demand for the consumer swim monitor provides a high-risk characteristic profile to Instabeat as its single product is crucial. This reliance makes the firm vulnerable to volatile markets, where changes in consumer preferences would notice how well it does. The dynamic nature of the technology industry, especially within swim monitors, requires ongoing change and adaptation. As identified by Barney & Hesterly (2019), the a need for tech companies to keep their product range fresh and diversified as the market is constantly changing in the long run.

The financial reporting processes for Instabeat are another pain point. However, the company’s policy concerning financial disclosure may be considered non-compliant while negatively impacting its ability to have investors invest their funds into it and acquire funding. Financial reporting transparency has become an important element in the modern investment climate. The stakeholders, like investors, use a company’s financial data to access its status and ability. According to Kinicki & Williams (2021), the absence of comprehensive financial information may cause investors’ unwillingness, limiting their access to necessary capital for growth, research, and development.

Opportunities

The flourishing of the fitness and health tracking industry widens prospects for Instabeat to strengthen its market penetration while also improving its competitive position. With such alterations in the world due to health consciousness, technological changes bring up wearable technology as a growing industry. This situation creates a niche opening for Instabeat to grow its product range beyond swim monitoring devices and establish itself in the vast field of fitness wearables.

According to Aaker & Moorman (2017), wearable technology has been growing at a geometric pace, and the opportunity this brings is unlimited. Product extension is a possible strategic shift that will open up new markets for Instabeat. This can be done by providing a larger array of fitness-tracking devices that have increased likely appeal to health-conscious people. Instabeat can capitalize on this rapidly growing market and become a fitness and health monitoring system vendor. A strategic alliance could further synergize Instabeat’s international presence and retail growth. Instabeat could join brand functions with competitors to reduce rivalry tendencies and unlock new functional avenues for the evolving swimming product demands.

Furthermore, Ghosh et al. (2020) argued that brand collaborations and strategic ventures must remain agile with the evolving customer demands. The swimming gear industry exhibits robust prospects for existing brands like Instabeat. However, brands require significant financial and strategic competencies to capitalize on the evolving opportunities. Hence, brand collaboration could provide a new advantage to Instabeat in making necessary changes in the business environment for customers, investors, and brands in the long run. These partnerships have twofold value – improving Instabeat’s market share and acknowledgment as a legitimate player in the swimming society. Moreover, product integration with swimwear firms through collaborations is also likely to make swimming more comfortable and increase customer value.

Threats

The swim technology market’s competitive environment can impede success and present an unpleasant situation that Instabeat faces in this sector. To retain the company’s top-leading position, managing these threats is pivotal to achieving more innovation and development. The Instabeat market’s major challenge is swim technology, which keeps changing. It is marked by rapid expansion in technology and stiff competition. However, every large incumbent and fast-growing youngster constantly fights to roll out fresh innovations that may disrupt the current market. The trend denotes that Instabeat must fully know how the market changes and positions competitors. Aaker & Moorman (2017) point out that proactive market monitoring and quick action toward change are important actions needed for the company to retain its leadership status. To succeed, Instabeat must be able to catch up with the variable market and stay ahead of changes and innovation using continuous innovations and foresight strategy.

The other significant threat to Instabeat stems from the dynamics of consumer demand and market conditions. Grant (2019) and Johnson et al. stated that in periods of economic slowdown, consumer consumption patterns change, sometimes sidelining non-necessities such as fitness technology products. Such a growth may directly affect Instabeat’s sales and revenues. One creative technique in fighting this menace is the diversification of its product base. Instabeat can withstand market losses by providing products with a bigger customer base and different cost ranges.

The hazards associated with the regulatory measures also pose a severe threat to the wearable technology industry. Here, the laws and regulations for data privacy in wearable technology are complex and dynamic. Therefore, these laws’ appropriate and relevant navigation is key for Instabeat to continue expanding and diversifying. This is not a case of merely complying with the law but also building stakeholders’ confidence, including that between consumers and other interested parties. Following consumer laws that govern data protection and safety also ensures brand trust, thus saving Instabeat’s reputation and loyal customers.

In addition, Instabeat must navigate the fine line between being compliant with these regulations and not sacrificing quality or innovation. As the firm prepares to enter other markets, comprehending and complying with different governing environments becomes even more important (Aaker & Moorman, 2017). This compliance results in legality but also speaks to Instabeat’s ethics and consumer well-being, which are becoming greater factors of distinction for technology.

Top Management Team

As part of the top management team in Instabeat, we are well-versed in our company’s challenges and current conditions. For the company to continue growing and being sustainable three years from now, we must make certain strategic decisions that correspond with core leadership principles, strategy, and team-building. Here are some specific strategic decisions we would make and the reasons behind them:

Diversified Portfolio of Products

In the constantly changing field of wearable technology, such strategic choices play a vital role in determining how well a company performs. One significant decision is developing our product line beyond a successful swim monitor at Instabeat. A swimwatch has established standards in innovation and customer adoption, considering that relying on one product can pose risks for the firm’s future development longevity (Tajvidi et al., 2017). Such one-product line dependency may make the company vulnerable to market trends and customer preference changes. Thus, we propose investing in wearable products for health and fitness monitoring beyond core consumers to counter these risks and exploit the developing markets’ potential.

Development into the fitness and health monitoring market is a characteristic feature of strategic planning that reduces dependence on a single product. This diversification not only disseminates risk at the operational level but also provides new sources of growth and income. As Ghosh et al. (2020) highlighted, the fitness and health monitoring industry witnessed an upsurge in demand because of rising concerns about personal well-being and evolving technology. By accessing this growing market segment, Instabeat can gain more customers, from sports lovers to those looking for full health tracking systems.

Besides, this diversification of our product range is a strategic decision to broaden the scope of markets and in line with teamwork and cross-functional effort aspects. It takes a coordinated effort peculiar to different organizational functions to develop and launch new products into the competitive wearable technology market. Each department, from product development marketing to sales, plays a crucial role in introducing and succeeding in bringing these new products to life (Meyers et al., 2019). The collaborative nature encourages innovative work, enables data transmission, and increases productivity.

Strengthening Brand Partnership

Developing the Instabeat14 brand and reputation in swimwear, swimming associations, and fitness would be a good execution where one must build partnerships with major brands within these industries. However, the endeavor is about creating visibility and forcing our advanced technology with an antique range of swim and fitness products (Vredenburg et al., 2020). Such partnership is important in various respects.

First, working with top brands in the pool and fitness industry presents a two-pronged opportunity. This represents a chance for Instabeat to leverage these brands’ customer base and market footprint. It enables the seamless incorporation of our technology into mainstream and widely used products (Bairrada et al., 2019). This merger will not only increase the value of our products but also increase consumer confidence in Instabeat’s technology.

Second, working with well-known brands showcases how Instabeat products differ from rivals. Working with established companies, we get their marketing and distribution channels to reach a broad market. Such visibility is extremely important for the recognition and credibility of the brand among potential customers who may have been completely ignorant about Instabeat. The concept of leadership and corporate strategy is also aligned with strategic alliances. They accentuate the need for collaboration, both globally and locally as well. However, Instabeat’s R&D groups and marketing departments must systematically consider these collaborations. The created reciprocity feeds into an environment conducive to cooperation, and the departments must collaborate to achieve a common objective. It also contributes to channeling resources and skills, which results in progressive, effective partnership strategies.

Data Privacy and Security

Instabeat recognizes the need to enhance information protection as data privacy issues continue growing during this age. But these privacy concerns are not some transient fad; instead, they reflect a significant change in how customers and corporations feel about data (Goel et al., 2021). Being a technology firm that deals with personal fitness and health records, ensuring the safety of customer information is also our primary responsibility. The figure below illustrates the potential data risks in the global retail sector:

Figure 6: Data Handling Risks in the Retail Sector

Source: (Boehm et al., 2022)

The first step in addressing these privacy concerns is to invest in strong protective measures. The company will use cutting-edge encryption techniques to safeguard data transfer and storage. This encryption will act as the first step in securing information about customers from unauthorized access. In addition, we will use secure cloud storage systems to guarantee data consistency and availability (Tawalbeh et al., 2020). These cloud platforms try to prevent loss and recovery, with recovery being crucial in ensuring continuous service and trust. A robust user privacy policy is another crucial aspect of our data protection plan. This would then be a free and clear policy to achieve communication transparency (Goel et al., 2021). By making our users aware of this policy, we establish trust and show that their privacy is important to the company. Customer information must be protected, Barney and Hesterly (2019) note; it is both compliance and trust. Therefore, Instabeat’s initiatives to be the leader in data privacy and security are not just about following legal rules; they show our users that we understand their needs. By building trust via strong data protection measures, we secure our clients and shield the company from plausible legal and reputational harm.

Expansion of Market

Seeking out innovative customer segments and broadening our market perception is essential for the continual growth and diversification of Instabeat. With this strategic orientation, we intend to enter developing countries, especially in Asia, where there is a notable increase in acceptance and demand for swim technology (Frank et al., 2020). This is not only an expansion but a step in the right direction towards acquiring new growth frontiers and carving out our reliance on current markets. Emerging markets, especially Asian ones, provide some special challenges and opportunities. Consumer interest in health and fitness technologies is increasing amazingly, with rising income levels among these markets. However, they also have unique cultural, regulatory, and market dynamics that require customized approaches (Rajagopal, 2020).

The management of Instabeat will achieve this by determining the main consumer groups, understanding markets deeply enough, and adjusting our marketing strategies to their needs. Market penetration and diversification are the two core strategies discussed in Hongal and Kinange (2020) for growth into new markets. Through intrusion into these emerging markets, Instabeat shall increase the number of customers and further improve brand presence and recognition. Diversification into new markets enables us to minimize the risks stemming from market saturation in our core areas and exclusively ensure resilience against shock-related issues.

Talent Development and Retention

Our strategic focus will be on talent development and retention in Instabeat for the next three years. Considering that we have employees as our most valuable asset, we shall invest substantially in programs that help strengthen skills and build an environment suitable for innovation and teamwork. This emphasis on talent is based on modern thinking from Kinicki & Williams (2021), who believe that good leadership should not only be about direction but rather the development of new talent within organizations. Instabeat’s talent development program will include leadership training as one of its major components. We are convinced that the leadership development initiatives at all levels of the organization will empower our employees to act independently and foster innovation. This training will not be limited to managerial positions only, but all employees will be equipped with this skill, resulting in a culture of shared leadership.

In addition, we will foster career progression within the company (Hongal & Kinange, 2020). Through offering transparent paths for career development, we want to encourage our employees to choose long-term careers within our company. This strategy not only keeps our talent but also ensures the continuous development of our workforce to meet new industry needs. Strategy-wise, investing in the human capital is important. This means investing money in training programs and giving their time and attention to mentoring programs and personal development. Our investment in employees aims to create an incorruptible labor force with technical skills and emotional and intellectual involvement with the company’s mission. In such investments, the results are manifold. First, it results in a more competent and confident workforce that can handle difficult problems while propagating innovation.

Secondly, it encourages employee loyalty and job satisfaction, crucial to high retention rates (Meyers et al., 2019). A devoted workforce is less likely to leave a company, which significantly reduces turnover costs and maintains expertise and a professional climate. Our talent development strategy also seeks to develop a positive and collaborative corporate culture. When employees strongly commit to the firm’s values and aims, they are more likely to work well toward realizing such goals (Anlesinya & Amponsah-Tawiah, 2020). This is essential for building a united team to reach the same goals.

Customer-Centric Approach

In the modern business field, being customer-oriented is no longer an option but a compulsion for companies that desire long-term success and client loyalty. This methodology for Instabeat requires an active engagement strategy in which customer feedback is sought out constantly and serves as the basis of product development and innovation (Gupta & Ramachandran, 2021). This customer-centered approach is important because it enables one to lead market trends, beat customers’ expectations, and make loyal clients. First, this human-based policy stipulates the need to collect and analyze customer feedback. This process entails contacting customers through surveys, online conversations, and direct correspondence to acquire information regarding their journeys, requirements, and expectations. The company’s products meet customers’ expectations, and we can focus our offerings accordingly (Addis, 2020). The feedback cycle allows us to point at weak spots and innovate in line with customer needs.

Figure 7: Customer-Centric Approach (Rajagopal, 2020)

Picture 2

Applying customer perspectives to guide the process by which product innovations are derived ensures that our innovation initiatives have a direct linkage with reality-based user experiences and perceptions. This one helps us to manufacture high-quality technical innovative items, which our target group demands. It enables solutions that address pain points and improve user experience (Rajagopal, 2020). This approach guarantees the production of products that are much more appealing to this market niche, thereby increasing their acceptance by these people and increasing demand (Painter-Morland et al., 2018). This proactive approach to customer feedback then helps us identify patterns and preferences that may be emerging, thus allowing us to stay several steps ahead of both competition and customers’ expectations.

A customer-oriented approach goes beyond simply focusing on product innovation. It’s about relationship building with our customers. Through this active listening and serving their needs, we show a dedication to fulfilling them as well-being individuals. This method creates trust and promotes loyal feelings among our customers (Frank et al., 2020). They are more likely to stay loyal to our brand and be advocates for its products. The end goal of a customer-centric approach is, therefore, brand loyalty. Brand ambassadors are satisfied customers. They still consume our products and encourage others to do so (Hongal & Kinange, 2020). Then, by ensuring that our customers are the decision-making center, we create a good brand image, leading to a high loyalty rate.

Conclusion

Hind Hobeika’s Instabeat is at the forefront of swim technology and has disrupted this field with revolutionary solutions that transform swimmers’ performance. In its formidable category of swim monitor, this company has created a market for itself as an innovative and leading firm in the specialized sector. However, as with every other rising business, Instabeat has issues and chances that require a particular approach for further development within these markets. One of Instabeat’s most striking strengths is its unique product line. However, the company has discovered an unfulfilled need for a swimmer’s product in this market.

This focus has allowed the emergence of specialized knowledge and brands for this niche market developed by Instabeat. It also makes the company very sensitive to market changes and hinders its development in terms of product lines. This threat can be reduced by diversifying Instabeat’s product lines (Vredenburg et al., 2019). Developing a product that can be applied to other fitness monitoring and health tracking areas would have more market appeal, making it less dependent upon one form.

There should be efforts to promote partnerships so that Instabeat maintains its position in the market. Cooperation with these swimming societies, coaches, and swimwear manufacturers can be very lucrative because they provide them with market information, new markets to trade in, and exposure to their company brands. As Johnson et al. (2020) noted, these alliances are essential in expanding a brand’s market position (Pupic, 2019). These alliances further enable targeted product development aimed at different segments of users. However, the market in which Instabeat operates has been changing financially and operationally. The firm should be ready to face challenges like rising competition, possible economic volatility, and even regulatory changes. It is essential to remain agile and responsive in such a dynamic market environment, as maintaining competitive advantage would require.
