The Great Depression and Political Organizations

What were similarities and differences in the goals of Chinese American political organization from the economic and social organizations in 1930? Explain

There were some similarities and differences in the goals due to the intentions and the barriers in depression, faced by the Chinese Americans. The Chinese American political organizations such as Chinese American citizen alliance, New York Chinese American voting league, and New York Chinese American Committee of the national Democratic Party were looking to enhance the visibility of the active participation of the Chinese American in mainstream political systems. Interestingly, despite having the Chinese American nationals, the economic and social organizations in 1930 intended to demonstrate the preferences for the American nationals. These organizations contained separated goals such as reduction of depression through evading the role of immigrants. They wanted to strengthen the local national in different organizations along with their active participation. On the other hand, CACA and NCAVL had goals to protect the rights through hitting the political systems to raise the voice for the rights; they deserve as nationals of United States of America in depression. Economically and socially, the similar goal was to get rid of the great depressions to utilize the opportunities (Song).

What did the New York Chinese and their political organizations do to promote their understanding of the newly developed consciousness of being Chinese Americans?

The New York Chinese and their political organizations made their preferences to dominate in the American community. They made different Chinese communities in New York and intended to make the reputations for better recognition. The main conscious was to make alliances and parties to portray the message and create the awareness among the Chinese American.  New York Chinese were supposed to depict their commitments regarding the participation in the political systems. They believed in voting power and wanted to be a part of a democratic system, which could provide opportunities and rights. Instead of being a part of the different protests, they promote the understanding of consciousness through exceptional political revolutions. For Instance, George Clinton, a prominent pro-democratic Chinese American activist, also exhibited the literacy work to accelerate the surge of this political dilemma in 1936. Thus, the consciousness revolved around gathering the Chinese American communities through using the resources, which were available at that time. These organizations created the vision and enabled the manifestations of consciousness, and perceptibly, it was possible due to the integration (Song).

How do you evaluate the newly developed Chinese American consciousness?

Before depression in the United States of America, the Chinese American was trying to integrate with the culture, and they use to live, study and work in the different regions. However, in depressions, the preferences of white American, including the economic and social organizations were in the limelight. It was the right decision by Chinese American organizations creates a hype in the society to aware people. It was newly developed and integrated consciousness, which helped these people to emerge in the American society. It was the best initiatives to formalize the organizations and commit some values in the American society, which were promised or expected.  In the great depression in 1930, it seemed pertinent to raise the voice about jobs, accommodation, participation, religious independence and visibility of the Chinese cultural values along with the integration of the US culture. Finally, this newly developed consciousness led people towards successful sustainability along with setting the example for other minorities (Song).
