Encouragement, Visibility, and Teaching

Encouragement

1-Why this attribute is important to my servant-leadership capability

Encouragement is important to my servant leadership capability. Servant leadership is a leadership style that focuses on people. I always want to serve people by keeping their needs first. I am quite capable of sharing or delegating work to improve the performance of people or employees in an organization. Encouragement is important because it is a central element in the work delegation. People usually need freedom at work, and it can justify the servant leadership. With the personal perceptive, I can also encourage myself to streamline the efforts of other people.

2-Actions I will take to enhance this capability

To enhance this capability regarding the professional and personal perspective, I would like to increase face to face communication (Robins, 2018). For Instance, in an organization, I can conduct meetings to encourage people. People usually raise concerns and reservations in meetings, and through proper encouragement, motivation can be increased. This capability can also be enhanced through creating positive competition.   Employees in the company may perceive the competition constructive and perform accordingly. For me, positive competition is a driver of encouragement to move forward and become a great contributor.

3-Resources I intend to use to enhance this capability

Work environment and financial resources are to be used to enhance this capability. For Instance, I can encourage people through pertinent investments in the particular work culture when serving people. Personally, I can depict resilience and optimism as key resources to increase this capability. Personal resources are drivers to accelerate the impact of this attitude.

4-How I will determine the effectiveness of my actions

Determining the effectiveness of my actions is not a big challenge. For Instance, through face-to-face communication, I can make employees assertive to come up with different ideas and needs. I can measure the effectiveness of people in both society and organization by examining the motivation. Increased motivation and high work performance can justify the effectiveness. Conversely, some appropriate actions can be taken in case of low motivation and bad performance.

Visibility

1-Why this attribute is important to my servant-leadership capability

A leader’s visibility is important to my servant’s leadership capability. In the servant leadership process, I have to serve people. I can better serve people if I am available to them according to their need. I cannot afford my absence in case of any need at the workplace. I want to work with people and guide them towards the right path. My visibility in the workplace can help people work with courage and motivation.

2-Actions I will take to enhance this capability

The best way to enhance the servant leadership capability through visibility is to enhance informal group meetings (Davis, 2017). I can streamline the visibility of leaders in the workplace, as each can meet and collaborate to contain some work improvements. Leveraging some key communication channels can also enable visibility. The use of technology to make the leaders visible is a good move to save time and money. I would like to streamline modern technology to increase interaction with employees.

3-Resources I intend to use to enhance this capability

I like to use time as a key resource to enhance this capability. Being a good servant leader, I have to give the time to people to meet goals and objectives.  The visibility needs personal resources of the servant leader.  Knowledge or cognitive skills of the servant leader are a key resource.  Being among workers is good, but it should be meaningful and purposeful to make the difference.

4-How I will determine the effectiveness of my actions

The effectiveness of my actions can be observed or examined through the satisfaction of people or followers at the workplace. For instance, in the case of a new project, training need, and any change, I can conduct an informal group meeting (Robins, 2018). This action is effective because people become assertive or responsive after this interaction. Through leveraging the performance, I can enable an immediate response to people. Personally, I have to be visible to myself to make some improvements and guide people in the right way.

Teaching

1-Why this attribute is important to my servant-leadership capability

Teaching is essential to my servant-leadership capability. A teacher can create a vibrant and loving sense of collaboration or togetherness. Similarly, being a servant leader, I have to create a culture that can gather everyone on the same agenda to meet goals and objective of organizations. Sharing ideas and plans and making decisions together can be increased through adopting this attitude. Personally, teaching attitude always opens the doors for new learning aspects (Nichols, 2010).

2-Actions I will take to enhance this capability

Pertinent actions are to be taken.  First, the most important thing is to increase the learning process. I have to deliver the knowledge when serving people. Another appreciate action is to serve people as a coach or mentor (Zantal-Wiener, 2017). It can build a relationship like a student and a teacher.

3-Resources I intend to use to enhance this capability

Both personal and professional resources are needed to develop and increase this capability. In a servant leadership process, I need self-awareness to clarify the direction for me. My personal skills such as communication, knowledge, and cognition are my resources. Professionally, in an organization, I can use technology to teach people.

4-How I will determine the effectiveness of my actions

The appropriate action is the learning process. I can determine the usefulness of this action by observing the employee behavior in the company. Personally, the effectiveness can be judged through the knowledge increase. Better knowledge can direct towards better teaching as a servant leader (Nichols, 2010).
