Identify key decisions made in support of the global leadership issue being examined in your case study.
Business has expanded all over the world, so a leadership has to make decisions to overcome issues associated with a diverse workforce. Wal-Mart Company has considered different strategies as a global leader to make the decisions for solving emerging issues. Employees’ rights and standardizations are the main considerations for Wal-Mart leaders when managing diversity in a diverse workforce environment. The first decision of Wal-Mart leaders is about the attractive salary packages for the objective of motivating the employees to avoid worker burnout. The second decision is to create a work-life balance for the global workforce. Wal-Mart is operating in different countries and dissimilar cultures, so leadership makes decisions not only based on global level but also on regional/country level by taking into consideration of social and cultural aspects of the issue (Ghazzawi, Palladini, & Martinelli-Lee, 2014).
Explain how the findings correlate with the global leadership issue in your case organization.
According to my findings, employees’ trends and behavior are changing the business world rapidly. The workers seem frustrated at the workplace in multinational organizations, due to the strict rules and policies, which do not match their cultural and social norms. Thus, global leaders are trying to tackle employees’ issues through adoption of effective and different strategies to resolve regional level issues related to the employee. Motivation and work-life balance are the major strategies, being used by the global leadership (Ann & Adrian, 2011).
Evaluate the relevance of selected theories or models in helping to create a culture of decision-making that supports the viability of your selected organization in a dynamic and global environment.
In a dynamic and global environment, the global leaders are using the rational decision-making model to make effective decisions. In a global environment where the diverse workforce is in the limelight, open discussion policy helps the organization in decision-making, based on the identification of a problem, choosing decision style, navigation of alternatives, selecting the best solution, evaluation of the chosen decision and implementation of the decision. The company operates in a dynamic environment, and this is the best culture to come up with a decision, which seems pertinent (Sarros, Luca, Densten, & Santora, 2014).
The company is expanding, and the worker burnout is increasing in the workplace. This issue has been identified and examined by global leadership to formulate appropriate strategies to overcome the issues and motivate the workforce (Agbim, 2013).
