Every business contains different employees to take work from them. Apparently, the role of the entrepreneur in managing the employees is crucial. From training to promotions, the role of the employee is quite visible.  The management of the company often has to play a role of leadership to depict a right direction for the employees meets the objectives. However, to lead the employees, first, the leader or manager has to build his/her personality to inspire and motivate others. Interestingly, this study revolves around the entrepreneur’s personality, which can assist him in building different teams in the workplace.  In the modern business era, the entrepreneur shapes the personality, which is integrated with the working behavior of employees in the workplace (Alvarez et al., 2014).

The central theme of the study is to investigate the entrepreneur’s personality and its impact on the team building process. Coming to the advanced aspect of this theme, the entrepreneur’s awareness about his personality is in the limelight, which is an excellent facilitation in the team building process. It is a fact that the entrepreneur needs to integrate with the modern work trends and employee behavior to make different teams. Accordingly, the entrepreneur has to create the awareness to derive the different and suitable personality traits.

Open Minded Personality

In the modern business era, the first thing that an entrepreneur can enhance is the personality awareness, and open-minded personality comes at the top in this regard.  Being an entrepreneur, it seems imperative to navigate the different ideas with the passage of the time. The entrepreneur cannot stay with the same idea, especially in the competitive business era. Open minded personality refers the changes and positive behavior in the company. With the passage of the time, the entrepreneur perceives the need for the new ideas, which can help him to make different decisions. Now, coming to team building in the company, the entrepreneur contains the awareness regarding the new ideas, which are triggered by the workforce of the company. He may consider some new methods to engage the employee and enable the team building process. Making the teams is simple in the company, but building them to gain the expected results is quite challenging. The entrepreneur’s open-minded personality comes into the life when he intends to inspire the employees to consider the new ideas to build the teams. The impact of this awareness of an entrepreneur seems long term, as even after building the team, the team member can brainstorm the different ideas. For Instance, in the causal behavior, the entrepreneur thinks that the business will not carry any uncertainties and through building the teams, he can have the predictable results. The companies, especially where resistance towards the change is high, the entrepreneur’s awareness regarding this personality trait or reasoning is crucial. The entrepreneur causation should be considered to motivate the employees. For example, when forming the team, the entrepreneur, may express the safer side of the project, which motivates. Accordingly, the entrepreneur contains this particular awareness, especially when he makes the teams in a traditional couture, the owner of the company often knows the strengths of the employees and build this personality trait to build the successful teams (Baum et al., 2014).

The affectation is another personality trait, and an entrepreneur must be aware of it, especially in culture, where creativity, innovation, and flexibility emerge. The affectation is a new personality of the entrepreneur to create the awareness about the uncertainties in the business projects and let the teams make different decisions. Before, making the teams in the company, he may choose different employee along with the pertinent skills and experiences to face these uncertainties. When choosing the employees in the company for making different teams, the entrepreneur learns from his mistakes.  It is linked with the self-awareness, as an entrepreneur may pretend to choose right and wrong. The awareness about right and wrong is workable, and it enables the long-term team building advantages (Ireland et al., 2003).

Successful Negotiator

When making teams in the company, it is essential to be a successful negotiator to solve different issues. The teams in the workplace may face different problems, which may disrupt the process.  Awareness of negotiation personality trait is worthy of him to negotiate the team effectively. It is to mention that the entrepreneur must have impartial behave when negotiating team members. Sometimes, due to an immense diversity in teams and the workplace, the conflicts may occur. When a person starts a business to take the risk and make profits, he may have to deal with several people, which are to be hired. Apparently, to set the working culture, he must have to develop himself as hardworking personality. If he wants the employee work in teams, he is quite aware of hardworking traits which can empower the employees to follow this personality trait. Initially, he may also work with the teams to lead or guide them. Now, concerning the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, it has been revealed that the entrepreneur’s personality type is ESTP, stands for Extraversion (E), Sensing (S), Thinking (T), and Perception. The entrepreneur is usually Extraversion, as he loved to be with people and collaborate. In many businesses, the Extraversion entrepreneur can be seen. Coming towards the personality awareness, being Extraversion can make him always assertive in doing different things. An Extraversion individual will love to make the team, as it seems his passion for gathering people and enhancing the visibility of collaborative work. Being an Extraversion individual, he may love to have people around him, and of course, these can be the team members in the company. Therefore, the Extraversion entrepreneur can motivate him to be respected by people as the whole, and the team is building a suitable process for him (Shane & Venkataraman, 2000).

Pertinent to the central theme of the study, sensing can interact with the team building process. The sensing awareness helps the entrepreneur to process the data effectively regarding the employees. He may assess the performance of the employees in the teams and make decisions accordingly. Before or after making the team, sensing or observation of the employee performance is a great support to build a successful team. This personality trait is well known by the entrepreneur, and through an adequate awareness, he may deal with the employees in teams effectively, especially when initiating the team process.

Thinking

Thinking trait in the personality is helpful in the team building process. The entrepreneur may think what is going to be derived after firming the teams. Through better thinking, he may contain the best possible goals and objectives for the teams. Thinking broadly has been elaborated before, which is quite linked and helpful; in the team building procedure. Thinking also provides a valid reason to the entrepreneur to make the team, which is purposeful and required for a particular project. He is aware of time, which he can save through thinking about the team initiation (Kuratko et al., 2015).

Perception

The Perception of an individual, which runs the business, plays a vital role in managing the employees and perceives the performers to make decisions about both, the employees and the team as the whole. Every employee may have a different perception, and he can build the pertinent personality to judge the behavior, attitudes, intentions, and traits of other in team and workplace as common (Ireland et al., 2003).

For Instance, passion comes first. The entrepreneur must know what he likes to work, and accordingly, the may make the successful teams. Usually, the entrepreneurs depict passion in different aspects such as decision making, creativity, innovation. In result, he may form creative, innovative, and independent teams to sustain the work and make the independent decisions in the best interest of the company (Chell, 2008).

Motivational aspect of the personality of the entrepreneur has emerged in the modern workplaces. Usually, a good entrepreneur has an awareness of employee motivation because he is awards motivated due to his work and dedication. Through motivation, it is easy for the owner of the business to motivate other. The prominent example is the work delegation, and the entrepreneur can delegate the work and decisions to team members. It is all about empowerment among team member to work independently initially or in the work process (Taylor & Lybbert, 2015).

Also, it depends on the work nature and the employee behavior in the company, which let the entrepreneur express the awareness of risk-taking. Integrating with the teams and members, the owner of the company can take the risk and make the team to get the advantage. Visibly, if the entrepreneur is aggressive in taking the risk, he can communicate the high return to the team members. In result, the employees will take keen interest and show their assertive behavior to participate in a team.  The personality can become attractive for the employees when there is a high risk, as they may want to gather for some purpose. Conversely, the risk-averse entrepreneurs usually lack the attraction process in the team building process, which reduce the employee participation in the team. Thus, in the personality, the entrepreneur must be aware of the risk behavior and shape the personality to have the results, which are relevant and lucrative (Baum et al., 2014).

When the company has to form or deal with a modern and diverse team in complex business situations, there is always a chance of failure. It is one of the prominent aspects of awareness.  Developing the Resilience in the personality can be a result of long-term consideration. The chances of failure or other business uncertainties, especially in team process are not rare. Therefore, playing the role of a leader, the entrepreneur motivates, empowers, and authorizes people to get up and try again. The purpose of team building is not to carry straight forwards process; a team member has to face challenges in the team, which are vulnerable to uncertainties. Thus, the resilient awareness is also an excellent example for people.

These are some personality traits that an entrepreneur can adopt. Being a responsible person of the company, this is essential to keep an eye on the best people, which may form exceptional teams (Sarasvathy, 2001).

In the end, this is to conclude that the personal awareness of an entrepreneur can help in making in building the successful team.  In all departments of the company, the observation is the only sources to derive the traits, which are best for making and influencing the teams. In this study, the correlation between personality and team building has been elaborated with some insights.  However, the change is required due to the new business and team building trends. Modification in the personality is a part of the process of team building when holding a competitive business.
