Choosing a dream Company is a significant but challenging aspect in career development. Many people end up making wrong career choices in regard to the type of organization they would work for. As such, some factors that one has to consider when selecting a dream company may include but not limited to company background, reputation, values, mission, and vision among many others. Mainly, I would choose to work for Cisco due to the reasons enumerated in the preceding paragraphs.
To begin with, CISCO is a multi-national technology organization, which was established in the year 1984, and has its Head Offices based in California, United States of America (Fontan & Zirulia, 2015). The company supplies computer devices and other networking products globally. CICO’s Mission is to shape up and build the future of networking. Additionally, the company aims at improving value for its associates and shareholders. The vision statement of CISCO is not that comprehensive since it hardly touches on how the company is planning to attain its ultimate goals. However, it states that their vision is to change the way they operate, work and transact business.
Moreover, I would wish to work for CISCO in that the organization is well reputable. As a result, it has won over the trust and goodwill of its customers and stakeholders. Nonetheless, it is the dream of every employee to work with a company that has growth prospects. CISCO has had tremendous growth and expansion over the years. The company has acquired other brands, thus making it even stronger in the market. Above all, CISCO has an excellent relationship with employees since it recognizes their contribution towards the success of the company.
