Describe how an organization introduces change and how such changes can produce desired effects. Do you think that an organization can replicate another organization’s procedure and get the same results? Why or why not?
The change in organization seems mandatory. The modern business era needs evolvement with time, and the change is the better option for the management to meet the purpose. Normally, the organization introduces the change with a clearer vision. There are many key stakeholders in an organization that can play a role in the change process. The management of the company has to communicate the change vision to all key stakeholders. Usually, the company creates the urgency, and it looks like the first initiative in the change process. When introducing the change in an organization, the company has to replace the old ways of working with some new ways. It can also cause resistance and raise questions. Giving employees the space to ask questions and explaining the reason for the change is the best approach to start the change process successfully. Mutual concerns in the change process are important, and it opens the ways for further change step (Hendry, 2012).
The change process can produce the desired effects. For Instance, the company shapes new goals and objectives when conducting the change process at the macro level. New goals and objective are to be followed by people. It can help to produce the desired effects because all key stakeholders revolve around these new goals and objectives. In the change process, the company changes the way to achieve something. Thus, putting people in new ways enables the desired effects.
Every organization has a different work culture. Professionally, the company must be capable of imitating or replicating another organization’s procedure. However, in the modern business era, it seems tough. The organization can pick up a few things from another organization to introduce the change process. The nature of the business, different cultural values, and intentions of key stakeholders may be different. These factors can restrain us from adopting the whole procedure of another company. The company can integrate some ideas and procedures and implement them in its way. Simply, if an organization replicates the whole procedure of the other company, it can produce the same results. However, I am not 100% sure. For Instance, if the company adapts something and executes it in its style or procedure, it can gain better results than other organizations. It depends on the organization that how it improvises in the adaptation and execution process (Wæhrens, Cheng, & Madsen, 2012).
The role of human resource management in this process is in the limelight. The human resource management has to integrate with other departments of the company to derive some ideas to replicate. In this process, rational decision making is necessary to justify the purpose and gain success for the long run. Aligning the Christian worldview seems interesting far as the replication of an organization is concerned.
Maybe, according to the Christian worldview, replicating is not the best idea. People have to develop their ways to produce the desired or expected outcomes. It indicates the Christian’s perception of the change is quite different. It is a fact that the transformation looks at the radical change in the company. However, this perspective shows that personality changes or transformation process is important to change the whole procedure or system. The change process in an organization, the management has to make some intentional decisions. All key stakeholders have to develop their transforming power with time, which can restrain them from replicating the whole procedure. This perspective indicates self-development that can lead towards some predictable outputs (Hendry, 2012).
Christian worldview regarding the change and leadership can be understood through the following verses of the Bible.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6) (Biblestudytools.com, 2015)
Human resource management is a major stakeholder in the change process. Replicating the whole procedure is the risk. The company may pick up and streamline some ideas from the other company and implement it effectively to gain benefits.
