Bars and Beverage Management:

For any restaurant of food management operation, the management follows pretty much the same sequence of operations. For setting up of Bar and beverage operation, the owner needs to follow the following steps.

    1. Forecasting
    2. Determining the Products to be Offered at Bar
    3. Selecting the Supplier for Products
    4. Placing the Order with Supplier
    5. Receiving the Products
    6. Storing at Storage Area
    7. Issuing inventory
    8. Serving the guests
    9. Accounting of all activities
    10. Controlling

Setting up of Bar Business:

For setting up of a bar, whether it is part of the larger restaurant operation or a separate business of its own. The physical setup of the bar is very crucial to its success in financial terms. The designing of the bar should be pleasing to the eyes of the guest. But at the same time, it is also needed to be conducive to the smooth and efficient operation of the business. It implies that the bar stations should be considered as strategic points. It should be placed in a point from where it can respond to most of the requests.

Sports Bar:

The type of bar which is selected is Sports Bar. It has always been one of the popular ones. These are the bars where guests are welcomed to watch their favorite sports games. The business of Sports Bar will be established with the aim of using the premier sports theme restaurant and targeting the Southern region. More Television, with more games on it, will be featured in the restaurant to provide more options to the customers. Table-top audio control systems at each table will be provided to facilitate the listeners to select a program of their own choice.

Marketing:

Attracting customers through:

    3. Celebrity events
    4. Retail Merchandising
    5. Quality food
    6. Quality service (Walker, 2013).

Funds:

The owner will use its investment for funding. Other than this, Loan from the bank at the best interest rate can also be gained to invest in the venture.

Renting of the Place

After selection of a suitable location based on traffic counts, the number of households, offices, and average income, a suitable place for a sports bar restaurant will be rented.

Pricing:

Pricing will be based on tickets for entrance. Each ticket will allow access to some specific food, and rinks items and games. Each ticket will be priced between $10 to $15.

Staffing:

Not more than 15 personnel, including 6 service providers, 2 bartenders, 1 accountant, 1 Head Chef, 4 assistant chefs and 1 TV controller will be employed.

Supplier and Supplies:

The supplier for all the drinks, food items, and ingredients needed for the decided dishes will be identified, made agreements with, and ordered for supplies. The supplies needed are dependent on the Menu of the Sports Bar. The Menu would be;

    1. French Fries
    2. Chicken Wings
    3. Mozzarella Sticks
    4. Nachos
    5. Hot Dogs
    6. Scotch Eggs
    7. Potato Chips
    8. Beer
    9. Cocktails

Accounting:

Keep the accountant busy by asking him to record all the transactions on time. Inventory control is an important factor which is crucial in hospital management. Track the entire inventory by using First In-first Out method. Using the accrual method of accounting, and efficient software for recording these transactions, accounting, and inventory control can be managed effectively.

Controlling:

After a month’s operation, the owner and manager need to manage and control all the diversions from the planned objectives. The company needs to respond and control situations which are instantly arising constantly. By providing good quality food, service, and themed sports bar, the business can be managed and earn large profits.
