IMMIGRATION POLICY
The immigration policy of the country can be used to alleviate the poverty around the globe. It is a fact that the human right to stay in own country and to migrate elsewhere is in the limelight. The case discusses both perspectives in this article. For Instance, immigration policy is usually triggered by different benefit. Any rich country intends to gain these benefits and strengthen the economy. Going abroad to study or work is a need or people. Accordingly, the most important thing for countries is to contain the flexible immigration policy (Oberman). Relative to the national security, countries come up with some restrictions regarding the immigration. Two important sections have been discussed in this article. One is to contain the open immigration policy for people from different countries to streamline the economic process.
For Instance, people in the educational institutions and organizations are to be enrolled effectively through this open policy, on the other hand, when it comes to restrictions, it also depicts the country’s interest. Through the open immigration policy, the company can reduce the visibility of different opportunities for local people. Rich countries have to redesign the immigration policy. For \instance, the immigration policy must be integrated with some segments of people. People visit different countries for education, work, and travel (Coxt and Miles). Interestingly, the government can play its role through making the immigration policy only to help poor people. Along with the foreign aid, the redesigning the immigration policy can help rich countries to make the difference. There is a need to exploit the potential of people in developing countries. Making people able to contribute to the country’s success is a good approach, and through immigration policy, the role a can be streamlined (Czaika and Haas).
Thus, it seems necessary to make the immigration policy purposeful to meet several targets, which have been set at the government level. Furthermore, the criteria regarding the immigration process are quite different in different countries. Based on the need of people’s mobility, it varies country to country. Rich countries have made this difference through considering different perspectives. In the modern era, the human rights are integrated with the migratory decisions. For Instance, it entitles people to decide to visit other countries. Thus, when designing the immigration policy, it seems imperative to integrate with international human rights in an effective manner (Oberman).
POVERTY ISSUE AND IMMIGRATION
Rich countries have a chance or opportunity to contribute to the elimination of poverty in different countries through immigration; the country can create several employment opportunities for people around the globe. Poverty around the globe is the responsibility of the rich country. However, the article also defines some alternatives to reduce poverty instead of just focusing on the immigration. For instance, if the country contains the open immigration policy, it seems tough to define the criteria. It seems tough to decide that how many migrants should be admitted. According to several insights, derived from the article, it has been revealed that imposing restrictions regarding the immigration policy can make the poverty worse. Rich countries should depict an ethical consideration regarding the poverty reduction. However, it is tough to examine that how extensive this duty is for rich countries. The moral duties to fight against the desperate poverty should be the main considerations of developed economies. For Instance, in the developing country, people are suffering due to lack of employment, education, and low-income level. In any country, it is the responsibility of the state to protect the rights of people. For Instance, an individual has a right to stay in the country. On the other hand, an individual has a right to visit another country to meet his needs. If a country is not able to prvide its citizens with the basic human rights, then the citizens have every right to look for better opportunities abroad. It is to mention that if the country fails to provide basic rights to people, they have a right to visit other countries (Coxt and Miles).
The country cans also assist poor in the county. For Instance, if an individual visits the country, this is the responsibility of the government to provide equal employment opportunities to enhance the visibility of a good living standard. Interestingly, there are some immigration restrictions, which can be imposed by the country. Due to the availability of different alternatives, the immigration restrictions are good to stop the brain drain. Now, in this contemporary era, it has been revealed that countries intend to come up with the ethical immigration. The individual has a right to stay in the country. However, the government intends to change the immigration policy, which may force people to leave the country. Thus, the immigration policy must be triggered by the ethical considerations (Czaika and Haas). An open immigration policy is a good approach for rich countries, as these countries have enough resource to facilitate people and contribute to the poverty reduction. However, due to some normative reasons, it is vital to depict some alternatives. Poverty cannot be reduced or eliminated through the immigration policy and an immense range of people need some alternatives to improve the life.
Thus, the role can be played to strengthen the living standard of people through the immigration. Even in the open immigration, doctors, engineers, and business, people can travel to other countries (Oberman). On the other hand, the bottom line of people in developing countries usually does not have enough resources to make pertinent decisions. Thus, the article emphasizes some alternatives as well to reduce poverty. A rich country can enhance the viability of investments or business expansions in developing countries strengthen the bottom line of people. It seems the best approach to reduce poverty in different countries. Through investment plans in developing countries, the wealthy countries can help the developing countries to provide opportunities for the people of their countries. The more investment the countries make in less developed countries, the more their economy will strengthen.
The desperately poor people can be found in different developing countries. This is not the only issue with the less developed countries. These countries often also have the largest populations as well. Thus, the country is not only facing poverty but also mass poverty. The alternatives should be shaped through navigating different levels of poverty. Developing countries express the low-income people, and there are many people, which are waiting for their basic rights. Immigration can help these low income holders to make their lives better; however, it cannot solve the root cause of this problem. For mitigating the root cause, broader strategy implementation on the higher state level should be implemented. Thus immigration is not only the solution to this problem, as some alternatives should be streamlined. Interestingly, the reduction of poverty through immigration cannot be ignored, as it creates the positive impact on people’s lifestyle (Oberman).
