Discuss An Industry That You Believe Will Be Changed by The Intro of More and Improved Robotics
WHY IS THIS INDUSTRY IN RISKS?
The automobile industry will be changed by the introduction and improvements of Robots. The automobile industry needs more automation on the assembly line to improve work efficiency and productivity. The concept of mass production is quite visible in the automobile industry, and it justifies the inclusion of improved robots. The evolution of the firm is triggered by automation (Improved Robotics). For Instance, major automobile companies have shown the organizational life cycle. At the introduction stage, they have adopted advanced robotics to improve the process and maximize the production process. Now, at the maturity stage, the industry can adopt more advanced robots, which can reduce human efforts. The industry is at risk due to increasing labor costs and traditional manufacturing techniques. The transformation is costly, and it restrains companies from pertinent investments. However, without adopting robots, the efficiency, production, and automation in this modern business are at risk (OEM Update)
WHAT WILL THE INDUSTRY LOOK LIKE IF THIS COMES TO PASS? FOR THE CUSTOMER? FOR THE EMPLOYEES? FOR THE FIRMS
The industry will be changed with the perspective of customers, employees, and firm. First, improved robots will reduce human efforts in the workplace. Employees in an automobile company will have to reduce physical power. The work will look easy in the future. From the perspective of the customer, the change in the industry is positive. They can have improved vehicles with fine finish. In other words, industry can contain the chance for quality improvements, and it can lead to customer satisfaction. With the perspective of the firm, it can gain and sustain the competitive advantage. When navigating the five forces analysis, firms can gain the advantages in an intense rivalry. If a firm integrates with modern robotic technology in the production process, it can create barriers for new automobile rivals. Thus, the firm can integrate with the change to get a sustainable competitive advantage (Webzell).
