I have decided to become involved in the organization. I wanted my involvement to be beneficial to me and the community members. My work is beneficial for community members due to the possible impact. For Instance, in the community organization, which is usually a nonprofit organization, I work with great satisfaction. My involvement in the organization is beneficial for community members due to my collaboration and professional skills. I worked in the VITA Treasure as a volunteer income tax assistant. Interestingly, in this organization, I played the role of servant leadership and helped others to build knowledge and skills to make a difference. Working at VITA was a good experience because I learned many things from different activities. I prepared the client intake interview forms, which helped me derive the client’s history regarding income tax paid. Also, navigating the state and federal tax reforms helped me to make the pertinent policy to regulate the tax process. Serving as the quality viewer was an effective approach to regulate volunteers who were preparing their income tax return. Making them follow tax regulation in the preparation process was my goal. Being an income tax return consultant, I provided solutions to many clients. Navigating several issues and finding solutions enhanced my experience at VITA.

College or academic achievements give the motivation to contain career success, development, and growth. It is a fact that I grabbed the command on different subjects and managed to gain good grades in each semester. I passed out all subjects with good grades, and it is a great motivation for me to continue my career growth. I played a vital role in helping clients file their tax return. I serve many clients to motivate and regulate them to file their tax return. Guiding clients regarding tax provisions made me a servant leader. I contained immense followership and support, and it enhanced my performance and leadership qualities.
3-Briefly explain how your education is helping you achieve your future career goals.
I was enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Accounting at California State University, Fullerton. My aim is to become an accountant in an organization. I love numbers, and I have gained good grades in related subjects. My career goal is to contribute to organizational success through effective bookkeeping, audits, and transaction, which can be tracked. My future goal is to make my name in the accounting and finance field. Therefore, I usually conceptualize all accounting subjects. Accounting and tax are my favorite fields, and my long-term objective is to hold the position of tax officer after the completion of the degree. Pertinent knowledge and different professional skills can help me to meet these goals and objectives. My self-learned tax knowledge will be helpful for me to enhance the tax return. Technically, my education has made me able to reduce the tax liability of companies, and it is one of the major career goals. The future career goals are in the limelight because these are attainable. The most important thing is to learn the basics and increase my contrib8ition through pertinent skills. Short accounting and tax-related courses are good to help me to meet these career goals in an effective and lucrative manner.

I am living in a society which gives respect to professionals. It is a fact that society creates the space for different professionals to play their role and make society better. Interestingly, I have a pertinent background, which opens the way for me to play my role professionally. For Instance, I want to become a certified public accountant. It has been revealed that society is triggered by many people, who always need financial assistance. I assessed this need of society and utilized my strengths to make efforts. Becoming the certified public accountant is the first step. It is the beginning of my career goal. People in society want to gain financial assistance, and it shapes my intentions. Now, I am quite committed and determined to move forward and depict my dominance. My society always creates changes or opportunities for me to grow as a better professional and a person. The accounting profession suits my personality, and therefore, I am here to achieve my goals. It is a fact that people want to prepare them to gain success in their professional career during graduation. I am living in a society which encourages or supports people who like to participate in different volunteer activities. Being a conscious person, I always want to take part in volunteer work. I live in a society which motivates people to get an education and adopt professions to meet different needs.
Every person living in society wants to improve his living standard. Therefore, completing my degree with good grades and getting the job early is my priority. My background depicts different job seeking activities. In this rapid business era, every individual does like to waste time after the completion of the degree program. Similarly, it created an impact on me. I looked for many internships officer positions regarding my line of work. Preparing for my professional career is pertinent, and it is generally accepted in society as well. Interestingly, I am living in a liberal society, which is also based on social life as well. However, it contains the individualistic culture, as people like to study, work and live independently. This culture suits me because I have to do all these things independently. I have a few friends. However, I have to sacrifice my social life. My study aim is not to be compromised, and I am quite up to it. I want to achieve academic and career goals first and then re-engage my friends. After my graduation, I will be respected and recognized by society as a skillful and trained individual. Graduation is the success or achievement for me in this particular society, and I cannot compromise on my intentions, goals, and objectives. It is an era of competition. Apart from graduation, people are looking to learn more skills and traits to get an edge on other people. BUAD 300 Class is the best option for me to learn different new skills. For Instance, I am living in a society where work is to be criticized.
I have learned the critical thinking skills in this class to become a critical person as well. I want to be responsive and assertive when explaining or arguing. It works in society, and obviously, it seems the great help for me to make a difference. It has been observed that society love and respects honest, transparent, and accountable people. Serving as Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, Treasurer assisted me to learn various things. For Instance, I managed and recorded the club’s monetary transactions. I wanted all club members to set an example in society through fair financial transactions. For each event, I prepared a budget statement. I understood different monetary terms. Similarly, I grabbed the tax knowledge and helped people in society to decrease their tax liability. I conducted lectures and meetings with people to enhance their tax knowledge. Working 120 hours for society was a big achievement. I served over 200 people to create awareness regarding income tax returns. In the accounting society in the international committee, I tried to prepare a list of updated jobs for international students. My activities integrated with the needs of society, and I am quite satisfied.

I have engaged with off-campus organizations. The purpose was to enhance my knowledge, learning, and skills in different fields. Interestingly, these fields are related to the accounting fields. For Instance, I worked for Thunder Group Inc as a logistics coordinator. It was a wonderful experience. I navigated $25 million inventories shipped worldwide to clients such as Target, Wal-Mart, Williams Sonoma, Petco, and Home Goods. I bring the prominent efficiency by working with the logistics manager. I introduced some new techniques to watch and track inventories, which were generally accepted and admired by the management of the company. I worked for this company from January 2013 to December 2014. Also, being a sales assistant of the company, I recorded some key inventory adjustments to ensure financial accuracy. It provided benefit to the company regarding financial adequacy and effectiveness. On the other hand, I have integrated with the education and commission (SPEC) to work as a volunteer income tax assistant. I got the certification letter from the company on April 18, 2018. Mutual benefits were visible. I learned and enhanced my experience. Conversely, the organizations brought efficiency and consistency in the business process.

In college, I always tried to know or understand my strengths and weaknesses to contain the continuous improvements. For Instance, in the campus, the management arranged the Holland Code Career for students. It was a great opportunity for me to identify strengths and weaknesses. I derived many strengths and weaknesses. I always want to help other people or students in the college. I am a great communicator and love to make groups to study and discuss different things. It was the campus activity that helped me to emerge as a good student in college. Focus is also one of my key strengths. At college, it is necessary to contain the focus on studying to get good grades and contain the readiness for a professional career. College study needs focus, and it is quite pertinent. Moreover, the Personal Strengths Inventory was also an effective activity to derive some unique strengths and weaknesses. I am a good perceiver and love to go with the flow. On the other hand, I also love the learning process. Interestingly, in the educational institution, these strengths are pertinent. The institution creates different opportunities for students to learn and adopts different things. I was one of those students who emerged as great learners. Furthermore, the community involvement was also a wonderful experience for me regarding learning and development. My biggest weakness was the communication process.
Effective community involvement helped me to collaborate with people from different fields. It improved the communication process. In college, I was known for my eloquence, and it was possible due to consistent community involvement. I also worked as the international committee. It is a community organization, which is looking to collect numbers and insights regarding the enrollment of students from different regions of the world in universities. I navigated the intentions of students who want to study in international educational institutions. Students are using their background to get enrolled in international educational institutions. Thus, it increased my college experience. I wanted to make a good reputation or image in the college. Also, I intended to get good grades to build a strong academic background. Thus, both academic and community organizations were helpful for me to make the difference. The college experience was good, as I always attended all classes attempted options which were always challenging for me. When working for the community, I learned and navigated accounting skills and capabilities, which helped me to prepare the budget statement. Looking after the monetary transactions of club members increased my experience. I derived some strengths and weaknesses in the system and proposed several alternatives or solutions to enable the smooth process. Working with more than 200 individuals facilitated me to understand different tax return issues. Due to my efforts and determination, I received the appreciation certificate from IRS.

My stepfather is my mentor. I love him because he always motivates me to attain my career goals and objectives. My stepfather is my leader. He is retired from a multinational organization. He worked as a general manager in the company. He is a great mentor due to his experience, skills, communication, and counseling traits. Being a democratic leader, he always discusses everything with me regarding my career and higher education. He told me to pursue my higher education. I often tell me about his success stories in the company. Starting from the sales representative in the company and ending at general manager marketing is quite inspiring for me. He is a role model for me, and I always try to learn from him to grow in my academic and professional career. The best thing about my stepfather is his willingness to communicate what he knows. It seems beneficial for me, as far as my academic and professional careers are concerned. For Instance, he spent more than 15 years in the organization. He played an effective role in the leadership of the company and contributed to the success of the company in an effective manner. Willingness to communicate makes him an effective mentor, and it enhances my knowledge. Another quality is preparedness. It is one of the most prominent factors which makes him inspiring. For Instance, he has faith in my abilities to emerge as an effective accountant. Accordingly, he contains the readiness to guide me regarding different activities such as career planning, academic research, and organizational behavior. He usually tells me about his journey of both academic and professional life. For Instance, he faced financial barriers in the academic life. He used to work in a bar in the evening to ay his academic dues. Also, he was poor in communication in an organization. However, according to his opinion, an individual, despite having some barriers or difficulties, evolves with the passage of time. He gained a remarkable achievement in his career, and it inspires me. His ability to listen is better. My stepfather is the only person in my life to discuss problems. He listens to me effectively and derives some key points to focus on the future. Of course, he is a problem solver for me. My stepfather depicts inquisitiveness. He takes the keenest interest in my academic activities and plans. I have never seen him frustrated, and it looks like a great learning aspect for me. Mentoring is not easy. Behavior, personality traits, leadership styles, and method to guide people may be different in different circumstances. Another aspect that inspires me is his managerial cognition. My mentor identified my intentions, interests, capabilities, and accounting knowledge. He wanted me to explore my knowledge and skills in this particular field. He provided me with a roadmap to take initiatives. These are some factors that compelled me to become an accountant. Being an upcoming certified public accountant, I want to learn some personality traits that can help me to integrate with the organizational behavior. Now, I am moving forward regarding higher education, and the role of my mentor is quite worthy for me. There is a need for someone who guides and motivates us to achieve goals and objectives. My stepfather played this role quite successfully.

California State University, Fullerton is a good platform for different students to share their feelings and experiences. Being a student leader in this institution, I have achieved many things. For Instance, I successfully established the student community in this institution. The purpose of establishing the student community is to spread knowledge. The most important thing for me was to streamline the knowledge and consider the whole community. Being an effective and active student leader, I have organized many volunteer works, made different student groups, and attained goals and objectives. Students in these institutions were free to communicate and discuss issues due to the visibility of this platform. I believe forming this effective setup in this big educational institution is a great achievement for me. Also, another big achievement is to build long-term relationships with different speakers of several institutions. Usually, I arrange speaker meetings and invite faculty members to share their experience. The biggest achievement for me was streamlining some key issues that students are facing in educational institutions. It seems worthy for a student leader to play the role of a bridge between the group of students and the faculty members. The faculty members ensured some promising solutions to remove issues such as the structure of departments, pre-classes, training, and revision of different scholarship programs. Moreover, my achievement in California State University, Fullerton was conflict resolution. Student’s conflict was in the limelight, and through executing the conflict resolution strategies, I managed to reduce conflicts and many other unfair means. I aimed to establish a sustainable student community that can play a constructive role in the institution. It seems a remarkable achievement, and I am quite satisfied regarding it. Another big achievement in the California State University, Fullerton, is strengthening the campus community partnership. The campus is looking to build a long-term community partnership to streamline the efforts of all key external stakeholders. Again, I played a role of the bridge and enabled these sustainable relationships. Apart from these activities, I have accomplished many other things. For Instance, after strengthening the student community, I hold several governing positions. Due to my capability and experiences, I worked with top faculty members. I made a strong reputation, and it looks like a big achievement. As a distinguished student leader at CSUF, I worked to create the campus culture. With the mutual concerns of the faculty members and the group of students, I contributed to building an effective learning environment. I accomplished many things as VITA. For Instance, I managed to prepare and complete an intake interview and quality review sheet, which was based on the taxpayer information. Based on my knowledge, I clarify things for taxpayers. Also, I prepared the tax return that is triggered by the scope of certification and training level. In my service, I enabled the allowable or deductible. Being a volunteer, I managed to integrate with the technological devices to record or keep the back up the taxpayer knowledge. It can be said that I followed the procedure and ensured the smooth taxpayer process.
9-How will you ensure that the legacy you leave behind in your organization(s) will continue once you have resigned your leadership position(s)?
Working in an organization is a good experience for any person if he follows the culture, regulations and other norms. When working in the thunder group, I tried to integrate with all key rules and regulations. It seems the legacy that I always want to leave for other employees to ensure work sustainability, consistency, and job security. For Instance, if I am hired in an organization as a certified public accountant, I will navigate all rules and regulations to obtain the limitations and boundaries of my work. Also, mastering different software such as GoSystem, OneSource, QuickBooks, PeachTree, and Lacerte during the job is not just learning and enhancing the experience. It is all about creating the legacy of learning that other students can follow. At the time of resignation, I know that another employee will follow my work traits. Moreover, work commitments, alignment with work regulations, collaboration, and learning are some key factors that create the legacy for other people after my resignation. An accounting professional is a responsible individual in an organization. I hope all other employees can understand their job responsibility as well. Leaving the legacy behind in my organization is a good move that can change the organization.
10-Name a book that has deeply impacted you and explain in detail why
The book that always inspires me is “It’s not about the Coffee: Lessons on Putting People First from a Life at Starbucks.” This book is written by Howard Behar. The founder of Starbuck, a multinational coffee chain, has come up with his servant leadership principles that can help to gain extraordinary success. Interestingly, all these servant principles are not about coffee. He remarkably generalizes these principles. A certified accounting professional like me can also adopt these leadership traits. This book inspires me because it can help me to become a better leader in the field of accounting. Initially, I can enhance my skills and experience in the job process. However, evolvement is needed by the time. In his book, he explains how an individual starts from the root and reaches the top. I want to become a servant leader because I want to serve my organization and people. Other types of leadership are also good, but this style can help me to build long-term relationships with other people. I was part of the board members of an international committee. Interestingly, members emphasized leadership traits, skills, and many other norms. In this book, I have read many servant leadership traits. During my job process, I would like to adopt these traits. When working for the international committee, I have to make the list of different international students who want to take admission in the international educational institution. Furthermore, the purpose of the meeting was to brainstorm activities of students and attract them to our events. Creating awareness among people is one of the top servant leadership traits. Creating awareness among people is important because it can help them to perform well in the interview process. Being a servant leader, I can teach them how they can use their background and use different traits in the interview process. After reading this book, I want to adopt all servant leadership traits. These leadership traits are listening, empathy, healing, awareness, persuasion, conceptualization, foresight, stewardship, commitment to the growth of people, and building the community.
As mentioned above, I managed to establish an effective student community. It was the implementation of the last trait of servant leadership that was read in this book. Many leadership and professional insights are explained in this book, and I can easily integrate my career, current experience, current leadership, and plan. I wonder how the leader of Starbuck made the organization one of the top-ranked companies in the world. Of course, a good leader can do with pertinent determinations, commitments, and evolvement. I can take many lessons from this book. The first lesson is evolution. My first goal is to become a certified public accountant. However, being a future leader in this field, I will adopt the servant leadership style to make maximum stakeholders beneficiaries. My accounting profession, volunteer work, and plans are linked with this book as well.
