Knowledge Management: A Key Strategic Element of HRD

Point 1

In the knowledge management process, departmentalization needs the effective flow of information of knowledge. The perfect combination of people, process, and technology is a source of success. In my job practice in an organization, I improve my performance through available knowledge. I usually work in an organization structure, which enables an effective flow of knowledge. Based on the knowledge, I intend to explore myself. Working in knowledge-intensive firm provides me different opportunities to move forward in my career (Perwez & Saleem, 2011, pp. 1, Para 4).

Point 2

The second point is progression. Being a knowledge worker in an organization, I usually transform my job performance along with the development of several competencies. Interestingly, there is a competition among knowledge workers, and integrating with the knowledge is a good approach to depict the prominent job progress (Perwez & Saleem, 2011, pp. 3, Para 4).

Point 3

The third key point in the material is the transfer of knowledge in an organization. In different departments, it seems the biggest challenge for the management. Being a worker in the company, knowledge transfer quite triggers my job activities. Thus, the effective codification strategy of the company facilitates me to acquire knowledge and enhance the visibility of my contribution.  Leveraging the existing work creates a good impact on my job, and it depends on knowledge-based learning (Parise, 2007, pp. 3, Para 3).

Point 4

The fourth point is the utilization of social network analysis (SNA).  I am working as an actor in an organization, and I can predict different knowledge requirements. I have to connect with other people and departments, and SNA facilitates this connectivity. For Instance, in the marketing field, I can come up with a vision. I have to socialize myself, and based on knowledge, conduct different activities (Parise, 2007, pp. 6, Para 2).

Discussion Questions

How effective does the knowledge management process improve job performance and socialize with the organization?
