QUESTION 1: IS THE RESPONSE APPROPRIATE OR INAPPROPRIATE, AND WHY?

The response is appropriate because all insights, which are elaborated in the response, are triggered by the facts and observations. The comments of Le Virtu are a response to people who visit the restaurant regularly. Interestingly, commenting on dirty silverware is comfortable, butunderstanding, insights regarding the work, difficulties, and compromise is terrible for people. Thus, it makes this response appropriate, as its facilities the stakeholders understand the whole scenario. The response depicts the rationale of the character of people in the bar, which is usually invincible.

The way of calculating the college ranking is appropriate because it is linked with the mission of the university. “Temple is the number one provider of professional practitioners in Pennsylvania, inclusion graduates of our medical school, dental school and law school” .The mission of the university is motivating and empowering the brilliant students to participate in the commonwealth economy in an efficient and lucrative manner. “Because of temple, the commonwealth has an influx of talented, highly qualified college graduates entering the workforce every year” .The collaboration between the university and temple is in the limelight,and the college ranking seems pertinent in the form of evaluating the GPA. Pennsylvania people or freshmen are capable of integrating with the college ranking. It is an appropriate ranking system, as it derives the facts from the temple history. The research expenditure ranking about the student selectivity, graduation, financial resources, and alumni giving rate, retention, and undergraduate academic reputation has made the institution successful. The research has been used for the ranking system, which is good to gather the key stakeholders. For Instance, for empowering and motivating, it is to be investigated that in what areas the institutions are expanding and investing. Through research, the appropriateness can be justified due to different dimensions. The top measure for success regarding this ranking system is the level of fundraising. Recently, the university demonstrated the record fundraising, which justified the appropriateness.  Research improves lives in the region, and people in the region are quite assertive. Therefore, for me, I can safely say it is pertinent ranking.

QUESTION 3: IS THE MEMO EFFECTIVE OR INEFFECTIVE, AND WHY?

The memo is ineffective because it does not demonstrate all insights correctly. For Instance, Yahoo memo starts with the issues in the business process such as loss of jobs and duplications of work. “It’s never easy to say goodbye to yahoos we know and work with, especially before the holidays”. Unfortunately, it is against the business ethics, as it would contain the success stories of the company to keep the hope alive. It seems right to keep the hole alive instead of initiating from problems. “Revenue growth has stabilized after a long period of decelerating trends”. Interestingly, in this memo, there are many reasons for the poor performers. For Instance, the yahoos are losing the jobs. However, in terms of the business ethics, the yahoos are not concerned with mentioned issues. In the internal memo, some operational aspects should be elaborated to identify loopholes. Due to lack of operational insights and just focusing on the external factors, the memo looks ineffective. Also, at the end of memos, some future strategies and initiatives have been presented along with the indication of more work. Thus, it seems unclear that what the company has to do to keep the things in the loops. Unfortunately, no stakeholders of the company have been identified in the memo, which makes it ineffective. To make the memo useful, there should be clearer understanding of issues, as some areas regarding the operations are missing (Bonkowski).
